🔥April Fools or false alarm alert? But don't worry, it's just our clinic's way of testing our emergency evacuation skills. The clinic is open and running smoothly as always (with no blaring alarm of course), so no need to panic and no need to break out the marshmallows for an impromptu fire drill picnic - everything's a-okay and we're open as usual! Big thank you to the Mt. Juliet Fire Department for getting the alarm turned off in such a jiffy!

You might have noticed that once a month on a Monday, Blue Oasis closes from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wondering why? Well, once a month, our wonderful staff gathers for an off-site meeting! This is a special time for us to connect, have discussions, and even explore exciting advancements in our field.

Our latest meeting was incredibly productive, filled with engaging discussions and innovative ideas. Nurse Leah and Nurse Megan presented a refresher course on Fear Free Techniques and handling. It’s truly motivating to come together as a team, align our goals, and ensure we’re all on the same path. A huge thank you to our amazing team for their dedication and hard work. Let’s keep this momentum going, I wonder what we will discuss next month!

Hello BOPH family! Meet Zeva, a 4.5-year-old domestic shorthair in search of a forever home. Sadly, her owner recently passed away, leaving her family unable to care for her. Zeva is a sweet yet shy cat who has been spayed and is up-to-date with all her vaccinations as of March 2025. She enjoys birdwatching and chin scratches and was a good girl during her exam. 🎳 Watch out, world! Our fabulous Pet nurses swapped their stethoscopes for bowling balls and brought the laughs AND strikes to the lanes (and maybe a few accidental gutter balls)! Taking teamwork to a whole new level, we discovered hidden talents in our group ( we’re pretty sure Makenzie might be a professional bowler under cover). Both fun and educational the nurse team meeting was a success, we can’t wait to see what they do next time!

Oh, to be a carefree kitten! Meet Rey, a 10-week-old Maine C**n. Although she has only been at her furever home for 24 hours, her personality is already shining through. Her mom describes her as a fearless mouse killer (the stuffed kind, of course)—none are safe once she has them in her sight. She enjoys playing with any toy she can find and isn't afraid to show off when she has your attention. It was such a pleasure to meet her and we can't wait to see her flourish and grow!

Last weekend, a few of our amazing Blue Oasis staff members took part in the Nashville Zoo’s Zoo Run Run 5k, and it was such a wonderful time for everyone!
