Veterinary technicians are more than the person who asks you a few questions before the vet comes in.
They are a lifeline connecting you, your veterinarian, and your animals. They are educated and trained to perform an array of procedures and provide the best possible nursing care for your animal.
The IV bags and lines they change, catheters they place, wounds prepped, bandages changed, x-rays took, drugs ordered, equipment fixed, phone calls and questions answered , and patients kept safely anesthetized and surgical recoveries to name a few.
They leave with scratches and bruises, scrubs smelling like poo and blood stained nails. They leave with red eyes from crying from the last euthanasia. But they do it for the love of animals. With compassion and empathy. They are amazing. ❤️
