Pet Care Specialist

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Pet Care Specialist to join our fun and dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals and a strong commitment to their well-being. As a Pet Care Specialist, you will be responsible for providing excellent care to our guests, ensuring their health, safety, and happiness while working in a supportive and engaging environment. We offer a flexible schedule to accommodate your lifestyle, including both weekdays and weekend work. Come join our growing team and make a difference in the lives of pets and their owners!

Responsibilities:

o Feeding and Hydration: Prepare and provide meals and fresh water according to each pet's dietary needs.
o Exercise and Playtime: Supervise and engage pets in playtime and exercise to ensure they get adequate physical activity.
o Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain cleanliness in kennels, play areas, and common spaces by regularly cleaning and disinfecting.
o Health Monitoring: Observe pets for any signs of illness or injury and report concerns to management or pet owners.
o Grooming: Bathe, brush, and groom pets as needed, including trimming nails and cleaning ears.
o Medication Administration: Administer medications as prescribed by veterinarians or pet owners.
o Customer Service: Assist pet owners with inquiries, bookings, and provide updates on their pets' well-being.
o Safety and Comfort: Ensure pets are safe, comfortable, and happy in their environment.

Qualifications:

o Experience: Previous experience in pet care or a related field is preferred.
o Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle animals with care and patience.
o Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform tasks that require bending and kneeling.
o Certifications: Basic pet first aid and CPR certification are a plus.
o Team Spirit: Enjoy working in a fun, collaborative team environment.
o Flexible Schedule: Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of our clients and their pets, including both weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Compensation: Seasonal position with the possibility of a permanent full or part time position; pay is based on experience.
