A new source of exposure highly pathogenic avian influenza is affecting cats: raw diets containing poultry such as duck, turkey, or chicken that were contaminated with the virus. Cats appear to be particularly susceptible to severe illness from H5N1, often resulting in death.

Tigger wanted to take a nap after his POCUS (point of care ultrasound). He was so happy to learn that he was bladder stone free, that he decided to hang out with us! Both cats and dogs typically find ultrasounds to be relaxing and not stressful at all. We can perform both abdominal and cardiac ultrasounds in house!

Happy one year anniversary to us! Today celebrates one year since Dr. Foley and Dr. Odgers became the new owners of the practice. We are thrilled to be a woman-owned practice, family oriented, and to be working in the community that we love and live in.

Over the past year we have made many improvements! We have added a second exam room, remodeled our bathroom, refaced our sign, added extended appointment hours and surgery availability, began offering new services such as abdominal and cardiac ultrasound, cold laser therapy, dental radiographs, and in house laboratory capabilities. We are excited to continue to offer you and your pets outstanding medicine with a personal touch!

Today we are featuring a dog that needs a new home! Please read this message from her owner carefully and see if she may be a fit in your family! You can email the hospital at [email protected] and we will help facilitate contact with her owner if you are interested in Misty.

Misty is a 4-year-old spayed 50 lb. Australian Shepherd mix (photos attached). We adopted her during the pandemic, and consequently, early on, she did not have much contact with other people. We are reluctantly surrendering her due to family medical reasons.

She is a loving dog and does well in out-of-home environments. While she is not good with smaller dogs, when she is at our son's home, she plays well with his dog, who is a bit larger than her. She is also aggressive with smaller children (nips at them), so I would not recommend a home with any kids younger than teenagers. She plays well at dog parks - she's a bit of a wallflower, but when other dogs indicate they want to play, she often joins in. I always take her to the 50 lb and up section of Swede's Run Park.

Misty would thrive in a home with a fenced yard, which we don't have. When she visits my son's house, she enjoys running around his fenced yard with his dog.

She is current on her vaccinations, and her shot records are available upon request.
