get a lot of compliments on Ned’s muzzle but I also get some wise ass comments from people who unfortunately judge before trying to educate themselves and understand. Ned is a 2 year old Belgian malinois rescue, we are still learning each other and I think he has had a troubled past. Ned is very sweet and obedient but can be reactive at times and becomes a bit unpredictable. I pay attention to his body language and it has shown me that he still doesn’t trust certain people and random dogs who approach him quickly. I take a lot of time to work with him and I put him in situations that will help him gain confidence. The muzzle is not cruel, it’s a tool and it is there for his protection… not yours. “Why would you bring an aggressive muzzled dog to a crowded place?” For one, don’t assume he’s aggressive and for you to think it’s fair to just leave him in the house and never take him anywhere is ridiculous. That statement is for lazy people who are unwilling to put the time and work in to help the animal. If you don’t know and are unwilling to learn, keep your ignorant comments to yourself. We are a team and we both work very hard to become better versions of ourselves, you should do the same
