Happy National FERRET day! We are so lucky to be able to offer services here at Park West Vet for these cuddly friends. Originally bred to hunt rabbits, the ferrets that visit the office prefer to hunt treats. Enjoy this cute fur slinky getting his favorite treat and comment below if you know what a group of ferrets are called!

Meet Riggins! He is the newest addition to our own Dr. Brogie's pack and the Park West Vet family! Riggin's was diagnosed with a rare skin condition that primarily effects young dogs commonly known as "puppy strangles" or juvenile cellulitis. Riggins is one of the lucky pups that should make a full recovery without any facial scarring or disfiguration, however if left untreated many pups face these outcomes or even death in the worst cases. Riggins is so lucky to have Dr. Brogie and we are equally as lucky to have Riggins!

Today for National K9 Veterans day, we would like to thank and honor all of the pups for their unwavering dedication and bravery through their service time. Ari here is a Veteran K9 who served for 8 years as a patrol explosive detection dog at Charleston Air Force Base and supported multiple state side and overseas missions. He is now enjoying retirement with a previous military canine handler. While he was great as his job he is also a big love bug who is enjoying a retirement full of fetch and lots of love! Thank you for your service!

E L E V E N. I'll say that again, ELEVEN YEARS that Vanessa has been . Vanessa is multifaceted and you may have seen her in your appointments over the years! What you may not have known is she also helps monitor anesthesia, is our pharmacy technician, orders and manages our hospital inventory and so much more! Her wealth of knowledge and ability to tackle any task makes her such an asset to our team and our clients. Happy anniversary Vanessa, we are so thankful for you!

T-W-O Y-E-A-R-S!!!! Today we celebrate Hayden, one of the lovely faces that you see when you first walk in the building. Hayden has been such a warm light here at PWVA to not only clients and their pets but to our staff as well. She has such an eye for detail and a passion for providing the best first impression on our furry friends. We are so happy that Hayden decided to join our team 2 years ago and can't wait for many many more. Happy Anniversary, Hayden!

Izzy came in for an acupuncture and laser therapy session to treat an iliopsoas muscle strain and was experiencing some anxiety during her session. By the end, she was so zen she didn't even notice the needle in her head! Did you spot it?
