🌸 Wish List Wednesday: Kitten Season Supplies Needed! 🌸

Kitten season has officially begun, and we need your help to make sure we’re ready to support these precious little ones! 💕

Here’s a list of supplies we’re urgently in need of:

✨ Miracle Ni***es – Essential for feeding bottle babies!
✨ Kitten Formula – To ensure our little furballs get the nourishment they need.
✨ Heating Discs – Kittens need warmth to thrive, and these are perfect for keeping them cozy.
✨ Cotton Balls – For cleaning and caring for newborn kittens.
✨ Mom Cat & Kitten Canned Food – Nourishing food for both moms and their babies.
✨ Aluminum Foil Baking Pans – These make perfect tiny kitten litter boxes because we can crunch the edge down for easy access!

🌟 We also need foster families! 🌟
If you're able to open your home to bottle babies or other kittens in need, please consider submitting a foster application. Being prepared with a list of amazing fosters means we can jump into action during kitten season’s busiest moments. 🐾

🐾 Meet Margaret: Dumped on HATS property 😥

Age: Approximately 5-6 years
Weight: 80 lbs (currently underweight)
Breed: Chocolate Lab/Dane Mix

Sweet Margaret found herself in a truly distressing situation when she was dumped outside at HATS on a frigid night this week. This gentle giant has a heart of gold, despite the challenges she’s faced in her past. She’s shy and a bit scared, but with time, patience, and love from our dedicated team, she’s beginning to blossom.

Margaret is looking for a special home willing to provide the TLC she desperately needs. This beautiful girl has likely had at least one litter of puppies, and with a touch of greyness on her muzzle, it's clear that she's had a life filled with more than her fair share of struggles. But now, she’s ready for a fresh start!

While her time in the kennel has left her apprehensive, she has so much love to give and just needs a warm, supportive environment to thrive. We are urgently seeking a foster placement for her, or if you feel an instant connection, she’s eligible for our foster-to-adopt program while waiting for her spay appointment.

🐾New Arrivals at HATS 🐾

😍Sophie - Black English shepherd, about 3 years old. This sweet and loving girl has spent most of her life living outdoors and in a barn. But she is thriving in a foster home! She is looking for a new home, someone patient and willing to show her all the good things about living indoors. She is eligible for our foster to adopt program until her spay/neuter appointment. She will be on-site and available for meet and greets this Saturday!

🥰 Morton - merle chihuahua/dachshund mix. He is quite young, about 9 months old, and does have special needs. He is deaf, and potentially has some vision issues as well. He is potty trained, and would do best in a home with another dog who wants to play, and show him the ropes! He is currently in foster with other dogs, kids, and cats and is doing great with everyone.

Last week was truly remarkable with a total of 21 adoptions! 🎉 Out of these, 14 were adorable felines🐱 and 7 were wonderful dogs 🐶 finding their forever homes. We're so grateful for your support and dedication!

Hi friends of Hats!

We want to be real with you… we recently brought in some adorable puppies with the intention to find foster homes, but things haven’t gone quite as planned. These little guys are way more under-socialized than we initially thought, and as a result, we’ve had to adjust some of our foster requirements.

Here’s what we’re looking for:
We need foster homes with older children only, as these puppies are extremely fearful and need a calm, quiet environment to thrive. It’s important that fosters understand what it takes to help under socialized dogs feel safe and secure in a new environment. These pups are not potty trained yet, they don’t know how to walk on a leash, and they’re very, very fearful of new people and situations.

It’s going to take some time, patience, and understanding, but we believe they can become wonderful, well-adjusted companions with the right support. They just need someone who’s willing to put in the time to help them grow at their own pace.

If you think you can provide the quiet, loving environment they need (and have experience with under socialized dogs), we’d love to hear from you. These puppies deserve a second chance to become the amazing dogs we know they can be.

This sweet boy is housebroken and well-suited for families with older kids 👧👦. He’s also quite tolerant of other pets—he doesn’t mind cats 🐱 and gets along well with other dogs 🐶, though we do require a dog intro to make sure everyone gets along! 😊

Dylan has a moderate energy level, making him a great fit for families who enjoy outdoor activities and playtime in a large yard 🌳🎾. While not required, we highly recommend adopters have a fenced-in space so Dylan can safely run and explore to his heart's content 🏃‍♂️💨.
