We still have some open spots for our upcoming dog and puppy training classes at our Racine Campus! Open to everyone looking for behavior support, whether your pup is a WHS alum or not 🐶

⭐ Dog Manners Class: In this class, we will work on building the foundation for comfort in new spaces, handler focus, stays, loose leash walking, and coming when called. This introductory class will be the foundation for more advanced skills that will continue to be built in Advanced Manners.

⭐ Puppy Class: In this class, we will work on building the foundation for handler focus, coming when called, and loose leash walking. We will also work on providing positive socialization experiences with novel objects, spaces, people, and other puppies. Meet Cherry, a sweet 4-year-old looking for a loving home at our Racine Campus. Our volunteers and staff really enjoy spending time with Cherry, and this is what they'd like to share about her:
💜 "Cherry was very friendly and loved getting pet and hanging out in her kennel. She wasn't feeling up to leaving her kennel for walk, but she was so happy to have my company and I loved my time spent with her!"
❤️ "Cherry is so sweet! She loves her chicken and she loves her people!"
💚 "A sweet and gentle girl, Cherry and I enjoyed our time hanging (and snoozing) in my office."
Stop by our Racine Campus during adoption hours to visit her!

LAST CHANCE to help animals in 2024! 🚨 If you’ve already given a gift, we are beyond grateful for your support ❤️
If not, there’s still time! You can use the Donate button here or give online at https://wihumane.me/EndOfYearMatch2024. We owe a special thanks to our friends who have been matching end-of-year donations for WHS, including Ed & Jayne Miller, Patricia Bachhuber, and a gift in honor and memory of Charlie & Carol James.

WHS receives no general government funding and is not part of any national groups. We depend on donations from generous people like you and we would be so grateful if you'd consider making one final gift in 2024 so we can continue this critical work in the new year. Thank you so much for making a difference for animals and the people who love them!

By supporting the Wisconsin Humane Society, you're helping to ensure we're always there for kittens like Molly... ❤️‍🩹
Molly was only 1 month old and all alone when she was found with watery red eyes, scrapes across her face, and a crushed paw that was missing a toe. While we were confident that we could treat her other problems, the open wounds, visible bone, and swelling on her paw had us extremely concerned. After several weeks of hopeful bandage changes, X-rays, meds, and close monitoring by our veterinary team, it became clear that the damage was too extensive to heal properly. Her leg would need to be amputated to give her the pain-free and happy life she deserved. Thanks to the amazing network of people who contribute their time, talent, and support to WHS, Molly has indeed found an incredible life with her new family. She now spends her days zooming through the home at top speed, playing with her canine brother, stretching out as long as she can to absorb maximum sunlight, and nuzzling up to her favorite blanket at bedtime 💜
None of this is possible without the support of our community -- you truly make these life-changing journeys possible. If you'd like to make a gift of any size to support this work in the year to come, you can use the Donate button here or give online at https://wihumane.me/EndOfYearMatch2024 and it will be matched through 11:59 p.m. on 12/31!

You can make twice the impact for senior pups like Pickles 💚
The affectionate 8-year-old was lethargic and vomiting when she arrived at WHS. Our veterinary team quickly diagnosed her with pyometra, an awful uterine infection that can be deadly when left untreated – a scary thought for a dog who had been found alone on the street.
A few days after emergency surgery, she was bouncy and full of puppy-like energy, so happy to feel like herself again. This incredible, 48lb “lap dog” will get to live out her golden years in a loving home, all thanks to donors like you – and now your dollar will help twice as many animals!
Their second chance in life was made possible by donors like you, and now is the perfect time to make your contribution go twice as far -- gifts are currently being MATCHED through 12/31! Simply use the donate button below or visit https://wihumane.me/EndOfYearMatch2024 to give.
Thank you so much! ❤️

In 2024, did you adopt, foster, volunteer, attend an event or class, utilize a service, or otherwise engage with any of our campuses? We want to hear your stories in the comments -- and also wouldn't object to seeing the cute faces of any alumni! Our team is always so busy helping animals and the people who love them, and we'd really like to show them just how much their efforts have paid off this past year
We'd also like to take this opportunity to tell you how endlessly grateful we are for your support. We experienced countless hurdles this year and without you, this work simply wouldn’t be possible. We can’t thank you enough!

Our Story

The Wisconsin Humane Society is an independent non-profit working locally in the Racine, Saukville, Milwaukee, Sturgeon Bay, and Green Bay communities to help animals and the people who love them. WHS doesn't receive any general government funding, nor is WHS affiliated with any national organizations like ASPCA, HSUS, or PETA, so donors like you make a huge difference in the lives of local pets!
