Sweet Virginia was really enjoying the fish tank during her check-up today! This sweet girl was a first for us - shortly after she was rescued, at only nine weeks of age, she had a urethral obstruction, which is not only rare for kittens but is also rare for female cats in general. If that wasn’t surprising enough, her radiographs revealed several large bladder stones causing the obstruction! Her new mom elected to move forward with a cystostomy and Virginia made it through surgery with flying colors. Today, she had her staples removed and started her kitten shots. This girl is crazy now and is feeling SO much better now that she’s rid of her stony hitchhikers, and we are so excited to watch her grow! 💕
This month, we’d like to celebrate Dr. Lindstrand by dedicating a fundraiser to her wildlife rehabilitation and rescue efforts!
For those of you who don’t know, Dr. Lindstrand is not only the sole practitioner of ICC, but she also is the founder of the Isabella Feline Adoption and Wildlife Center, a 501-c3 non-profit organization that dedicates it’s time to providing vet care and rehab services to wildlife animals in need, as well as find homes for homeless kitties. This organizarion is funded solely off donations, and what isn’t funded by donations is funded by Dr. Lindstrand herself.
We see how hard Dr. L works every day to be the best that she can be, and it would be amazing if we were able to fundraise for her non-profit as a birthday gift to her (July is her birthday month, after all!).
Not able to donate? We are also in need of tax-deductible donations of puppy and kitten milk replacer, towels, fleece blankets, heating pads, paper towels, bleach, dried fruits and nuts, canned kitten and cat food, and more! We would also appreciate you simply sharing our post to help us with our efforts! You can also help us by liking our non-profit’s page if you haven’t already! 🐿️🦝🦅🐾💕

As sad as this is to watch, it’s so important to share! Please call us if you have questions about which flea medications to use for your beloved pets. Some products are simply not safe and have been linked to a variety of life threatening conditions. We recommend Revolution for prescription parasite and flea control, and Advantage II for over the counter flea control.
