She’s the only calico and only odd-eyed kitten in her litter, but all of the littermates have different, beautiful coloring.

Happy adoption update for Coco (now Aries)!!

We found him as a 3-week-old baby with his litter mates and feral mama cat right in our own backyard. When the kittens were done nursing, mama was spayed and joined one of our colonies, and the kittens all got wonderful indoor homes.

Aries stood out with his gorgeous black coat and it didn’t take long for him to find a family eager to spoil him.

Peanut is doing so much better each day. His appetite is strong and, despite his constant sniffles and snorts, he’s a bundle of joy. He purrs at the slightest touch. And he is very talkative!

He loves his little heated disc and always returns to it after enjoying his second greatest love, food. We are happy to see this little light grow stronger.

Late last night, a tiny, sweet kitten was dropped off at our doorstep, just around 2.5 months old. With no microchip and in rough shape, this little one is suffering from a severe upper respiratory infection, likely caused by the poor air quality from the ongoing fires. Desperately thin, starving, and covered in dirt, the kitten clung to anyone offering a bit of attention. Despite their rough start, this brave soul is in need of love, care, and a fresh chance at life. 💖🐱.

Part 2 of Maggie’s Miracle!!

If you missed the last post, Maggie was adopted from ACR as a kitten. She went missing from her home 9 YEARS AGO and was recently found and her microchip still had our contact information. Once we had Maggie, we were happy to reunite her with her family, who had never stopped looking for her! They were so happy, they cried when they got the news.

Originally only one family member was going to make the long drive to pick up Maggie but the whole family decided to put everything else on hold and come together. If you are wondering whether Maggie remembered her family after all this time…YES, it seemed clear she did!!!

There were hugs and tears all around.

Daisy is a young cat but an old soul. Like so many cats, she had kittens while she was practically still a kitten herself, but she was the most attentive and wonderful mother.

When all the kittens grew old enough and were adopted out, Daisy began to relax a bit and some of her repressed kitten-like behaviors have slowly come out. It’s darling. She’s still quiet and no-nonsense most of the time, but moments like this remind us what a sensitive, vulnerable girl she is deep inside.

Sedona was the (very tiny!) runt of a litter of 5. She was always being pushed out of the way by the other kittens during meal time. So she came up with this trick to make sure she gets as much food as she wants before anyone else can eat! So clever! #kitten #rescuekitten #tinybutmighty #smartcat
