Mystique has been ADOPTED! We will miss her silly antics, rolling around on the desk whenever someone tried to use the computer.

Bagheera and her kittens are all doing well! She has a couple of lookalike babies who resemble her more every day.

This resilient mama needed emergency medical care and surgery for a uterine prolapse a couple weeks ago. She stayed strong for her babies, keeping them clean, warm and even nursing them (with supplemental bottle feeding from ACR to give her body rest) after her surgery.

We are to the veterinarian and staff who saved her life, and to our supporters who made this rescue possible!!

She came to us as a terrified 2-month-old kitten in awful condition after being found injured inside the engine of a car. One of her front legs was so badly mangled it couldn’t be saved, and her other front leg was broken in three places and needed pins. She also had a broken back foot!

While her front leg doesn’t bend, Taylor is completely recovered and gets around just fine.

With a long road of healing behind her, Taylor’s Rescue Story is complete - she’s been ADOPTED!!

A mama cat with beautiful feet 🌼 - and her babies who take after her with extra toes!

This sweet mama cat and her four babies were left homeless after their caretaker became seriosly ill and could no longer care for them.

Young kittens have developing immune systems so they are especially vulnerable to getting sick, which meant keeping them out of a shelter was critical for their safety.

Now they are safe, warm, and getting everything they need to grow healthy and strong. And here's the cutest part - mama and all four kittens are *polydactyl*, meaning they were born with EXTRA TOES. Mama has the most beautiful mittens you've ever seen! 🌸🐾

A mama cat 🌼 and her five babies were left homeless after their caretaker became very ill and could no longer care for them. Before they were surrendered to a shelter, Alley Cat Rescue stepped in to help.

Young kittens have developing immune systems and are especially susceptible to picking up illness, so getting them into safe care quickly was critical.

This tripod wonder is BISCUIT and she is looking for a home! She overcame scary odds as a kitten to become the healed and adorable young tabby she is today.

Biscuit is such a petite girl - perfect cuddling size. She’s great with other cats too!

Bagheera’s little ones are growing quickly. One minute, they were fuzzy blind beans, then suddenly their beautiful blue eyes opened and they are wobbling around the room.

3 boys, 2 girls, and an amazing mother cat.

Bagheera almost lost her life when she gave birth to this litter. She suffered a pr*****ed uterus. We’re not sure how long she was in that condition as she was left outside a vet clinic with her babies in a sealed box, but luckily the clinic staff acted immediately and were able to save her.

Louie was still limping months after surgery to repair his broken leg. A vet check and X-Ray revealed one of the pins meant to hold his bone in place had migrated - all the way to his belly! Although he must have been in pain, Louie still ran around like nothing was wrong. We knew he need the pin removed before things got any worse.

Unexpected / additional surgeries or urgent vet appointments can be part of the recovery process. Two steps forward, one step back. Alley Cat Rescue is SO grateful to have the community support for cats who need extra treatments.

reminds us that kindness is for ~everyone~, including ALLEY CATS.

These community cats have all been sterilized and vaccinated through ACR trap-neuter-return projects. This keeps them healthier, HAPPIER, and stops the cycle of kittens from being born outdoors.

They are free to live full lives, with a little help in the form of daily feeding and fresh water.

with colony caretaking is the kindest thing that we can do for community cats. And anyone can take part in some way - whether it is trapping, transporting to/from clinics, feeding and monitoring, donating to TNR programs, or even simply *spreading the word.* It will literally save lives!
