A reminder to everyone this black widow season, if you find one on your property, please do not kill it, try your best to relocate it or place a safe barrier around her area away from you and your children or pets. BLACK WIDOWS ARE NOT DEADLY!
I myself have been bitten by a black widow, it’s about as bad as any other spider bite, with just a little extra fluid.
They are our friends, and extremely frightened. They want to eat our mosquitos and brown recluse spiders! After they hatch their young, she will leave herself to be eaten by them.

Hey there everyone! It’s been a little while since we have been able to update this page - great news, no new rescues. Why is that great news? In my heart, I believe that people are becoming more educated and providing better husbandry for their pets!

Update on Scrim, our adult male beardie from last winter:
Scrim has been in a brumated state for about 3 months - completely normal for a dragon of his age. He woke up this week to rejoin our family and definitely had an apetite! Did you know during a brumation dragons may only get up and move to drink a little water? Some of them don’t do anything at all!

ATTENTION: We are starting a donation for the people affected in Maui, PLEASE contact us with anything you’d like to donate by the 18th, we have a family friend going out to help with the destruction of the current fire situation. We stand with all our brothers & sisters in Maui.

i would love to introduce our 2 newest rescues to the Green Frog family!!

one of our lovely locals in Red Bluff surrendered 2 bonded beardies to us this weekend, and they have just been a delight to have.

Big boy, who we have renamed Scrim, has been the biggest cuddle bug and we have decided we aren’t going to rehome him.

Little girl, who we have renamed Ruby, has been making such amazing progress this week, she came to us with a small infection in her nub where she had previously lost an arm, but after a little treatment she is doing wonderfully and learning how to live with one less appendage.

Since they are bonded, we have decided to not rehome either of these babies. I have a very hard time rehoming my first rescue anyways. I’d like these little guys to become almost our mascot for Green Frog.

more updates and tank renovations to come ✨❤️

thank you to all my lovely friends who liked my page! please refer anybody to me who needs to surrender. i will not ask more than basic questions. it’s not my business what happened to them, it’s my business to rehabilitate them.
