A huge thank you to several of our local businesses for helping us strengthen our community outreach program!

First, thank you to Lowe’s of Mount Sterling for the generous donation of a metal storage building. It has already been put to great use!
A special thank you to Patrick and BMC for helping us unload—your assistance made the job so much easier.
And thank you to the Montgomery County Road Department for lending us a flatbed trailer so we could safely transport the building to the shelter.

This new building will now serve as our designated storage for donated straw. We’ve already received straw donations from TSC Mount Sterling and Lowe’s Mount Sterling, and we are incredibly grateful.

This program allows us to better support our community by offering assistance with straw for outdoor pets in Montgomery County. We know that finances can get tight, especially around the holidays. If you or someone you know is in need of straw for outdoor animals and cannot afford it, please reach out to us. We’re happy to set up an appointment and help provide what you need.

Together, we can help keep the pets in our county safe, warm, and cared for. 🐾💛

A huge thank you to Montgomery County Animal Control Officers for your dedication — after many trips and some very late nights to the corner store in Jeffersonville, the fella who’s been running around and narrowly avoiding traffic has finally been caught.

He’s already on his way to a foster home, and if he goes unclaimed after his stray hold, he will be available for adoption.
