This sweet boy came into our care this morning. His name is Thor, age unknown, and he is a gentle giant. He's getting vetted, neutered and microchipped today, and will move into his Foster home on Friday.

These sweet babies were found abandoned in rural Cass County. Two are still in search of a foster home, or a home interested in adopting. They're suspected to be around 6 months old. The two still remaining are a female black lab and a male yellow lab puppy. They appear to have your standard friendly lab temperament, even after all they've been through. We would love to help our friends in Cass County find a safe home for these babies to recover in.

Day 1 of the Rescue Life
This sweet baby boy has a LONG ways to go before he's healthy, but Day 1 is the first step!
After all this sweety has been through, he's still affectionate, gentle and desperate for love.
He has a long road of head of him recovering from a severe case of hook worms combined with malnourishment, but his life will only get better from here.

Day 1 of living the Rescue Life
This sweet chocolate baby girl does not have a name yet, but only one day in rescue and you can see the difference it's made.
One day of love, affection, food, shelter, and medical care. This poor girl, and her brother, came in with one of the worst cases of hook worms our vet has seen. She came to us just in time.

***Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) Thursday***
Helping reduce the amount of homeless, stray cats and kittens in the Brown County community continues to be a high priority for us in 2024. These two sweet hearts were just returned to their Working Cat Colony, where they are fed, given fresh water daily and provided shelter. We are so grateful for our Community Cat supporters who take care of these kitties, and our partner in community service United Way of Brown County IL who provided us with funding to support our TNR program in 2024.

These two babies came into our care today. They're at the vets office receiving some much needed medical care and TLC. But once they receive a clean bill of health, we want to get them into loving homes. They are around 6 months old, Chocolate lab is female and Yellow lab is male. They will be fully vaccinated, microchipped and fixed as soon as they're at healthy weights for their age.

Not long ago, we made a post for these 3 kittens and their young momma looking for a nice farm or country property as part of our 🐈Working Cats Program🐈, a program we provide for feral/outdoor cats. Good samaritans Candace Brown and her husband Greg had been caring for them since momma showed up with them on her porch as babies. We always require our working cats to go in pairs, but we really didn’t want to have to split this little family up at all! So, when a local family reached out and said they’d take all 4, we were thrilled❤️ We caught momma (now Luna) and Jasper the orange female first. The other two(now Casper and Ghost) gave a little sass before we could catch them, but after a couple more days they were able to be reunited with the rest of their family at their new property and are already warming up to their new humans❤️ Thank you Candace and Greg for caring for them, sponsoring them and paying for their vet services! They are no longer contributing to the stray population. Thank you Stephanie for letting them live out the rest of their days being loved and cared for on your farm!
