We spend most of our time advocating that fostering and adopting rescued and neglected animals gives them another chance at life and brings joy to yours, but it can also bring SO.MUCH.JOY to the other four legged friends in your house!
Roger(white and brown) has always been a loving, goofy, but reactive and anxious dog. His family tried everything to help him. Once their elderly dog passed away earlier this year, they said they wouldn’t get another dog because they truly thought maybe Roger just preferred to be an only dog. And then came Matilda!His mom met now BCAR alumni Matilda(formerly known as Dorothy) and took a chance to foster her. The whole family fell in love with her immediately, including Roger!
They are inseparable, and often even sleep in the same kennel together😂 From neglected, emaciated and injured, to a sassy, loving, semi-pro wrestler, you’d never have known Matilda hadn’t lived here her whole life with Roger!

There are two dogs roaming east of town on someone’s property this morning. They’re tired and skittish, so not able to get close. Location currently is east of town near the co-op off Highway 24 between Ripley & Mt. Sterling.

Sweet Adoptable Skipper (black kitty) is getting all the love from his foster sibling today!!
Skipper is available for adoption!! Does well with cats and dogs. Will come fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated as part of his adoption fee.

This family has been so patient, letting our boy get comfortable with them and their family dog.
We had happy tears seeing this video, and we are keeping our fingers crossed this trial time continues to go well!!!

If you haven’t microchipped your pet, consider doing so! It can mean the difference of your pet coming back to you, or facing euthanasia in a crowded facility if lost.
