Gateway Area Humane Society We have a heart for animals. In every community, in every state, there are homeless animals. In the U.S.

as a whole, there are an estimated 6-8 million homeless animals entering animal shelters every year. About half of these animals are adopted, and tragically, the other half are euthanized. These are healthy, sweet pets who would have made great companions. We strive to find as many of these homeless animals homes as possible as well as work toward helping the public spay and neuter their pets. By spaying and neutering your pet, you can be an important part of the solution.

We have been busy this past month so we are a little behind on posting. On May 10th we were honored to be the first recipient from the "Jason McVey memorial golf scramble" it was such an honor to be invited to this event. Thank you for sharing your memories of Jason with us. He was loved very much and that showed by the amount of people that showed up to celebrate him and his love for animals. Thank you to his mother Judy McVey for raising such a wonderful son. And thank you for bringing his dog Daisy to meet us. We are very honored and appreciative to receive the donations. Here are a few pictures from the event.

Until further notice we are going to have to put a hold on spaying female cats. We have had such a big response to the free spay neutur clinics that it has become full and we have a waiting list. We are still able to take male cats due to they are easier for the vet to do. We are hoping to get caught up soon. So your patience is appreciated. Thank you for supporting us and for your patience.
