We have a heart for animals. In every community, in every state, there are homeless animals. In the U.S.

as a whole, there are an estimated 6-8 million homeless animals entering animal shelters every year. About half of these animals are adopted, and tragically, the other half are euthanized. These are healthy, sweet pets who would have made great companions. We strive to find as many of these homeless animals homes as possible as well as work toward helping the public spay and neuter their pets. By spaying and neutering your pet, you can be an important part of the solution.

Update: Cat Grant is closed! 🐈🐈‍⬛

The community cat grant is closed for the year. We were able to spay/neuter 389 cats from March to October with the grant. If you put in a registration you are still on the waiting list. You do not need to register again. As a reminder you will not be contacted until we have come to your name on the list. The waiting list has been closed as of now and we are not accepting anymore registrations for the year. We have applied for next year and hopefully we will be able to pick back up where we left off.

We strongly urge that if you get an animal please have them spayed and neutered to help cut down on the population as there is an overpopulation of animals in all shelters right now. Do your part.

We had so much fun passing out candy to all the elementary school kids. Thank you to Camargo Elementary School for having us and Rebakah Rae Goodpaster, Realtor for sponsoring all the yummy candy. The kids really enjoyed it. Hope to do this again next year. Everyone have a safe and fun Halloween! ❤️🐾🎃👻

Mark your calendars!! 🗓️ We’re back to opening the cat house every third Saturday of the month. Come hang out with all of our adoptable felines. Whether you’re in the market to take one home or just wanna come play and give them some company. They’d sure love to have you. Thanks to Biggby Coffee for the refreshments. 🐾❤️🐈‍⬛🐈

We can’t forget a happy “National Black Cat Day” to one of our favorite girls, Luna. After giving birth to 4 sweet tuxedo baby boys and being a good mom, she finally got to experience how to just be a cat. She has grown into such a lovable playful little lady. KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:

For those planning to attend this weekend’s event, we want to bring you some basic information and the event schedule!

Please note that any activities designated “Outdoors” may be moved indoors pending temperature and/or rain 🌧️

All dogs MUST be leashed or harnessed. YOU are responsible for your own pups behavior. Please do not bring your pups if they are aggressive with others, or have recently been sick 🦠

Parking will be marked. We will be using the paved lot across from the Humane Society. Huge Thank You to Big Rapids Products for allowing us to utilize that space 🚗

We will have temporary caging for your pups if you’d like to check out our cat house and snag yourself a Dairy Queen scratch-off! 🍦
Also checkout freshly made popcorn for $1 donation. 🍿
