We’re hiring!
We are looking for a veterinary assistant to join our team. This is a full-time position to fill in while one of our staff is on maternity leave. After that, we may have the opportunity to keep the right candidate on staff in either a full or part-time role.
Responsibilities for this position include but may not be limited to:
-Assisting with appointments – Checking in and weighing pets, patient restraint, vaccine/appointment preparation, counting medications
- Cleaning and disinfecting rooms, kennels, and medical equipment.
- Assisting veterinarians and technicians with diagnostic procedures.
-Clinic laundry
-Assisting with inventory and stocking supplies
-Answering phones and assisting customers
Qualifications:
18+
Experience in a vet clinic preferred but not required.
Good communication skills, both with clients and other team members
Physical requirements – this position demands moderate physical activity including lifting/carrying patients, restraining animals including large dogs, and standing for extended periods of time
Essential skills are a positive attitude and the ability to work well with others on a small team.
The position is full-time, M-F 8AM – 5PM.
