Let us tell you about Grayson! Grayson sold some of his things in a rummage sale. Instead of keeping his earnings he donated them to JCAC!!

We love seeing young community members being so selfless, empathetic and eager to help their local animal control.

Some of you may not know but a puppy was drug behind a car a couple of weeks ago. There were many people trying to stop the car to no avail and was drug about a quarter of a mile. A bystander was finally able to stop the driver of the car with their own vehicle. Poor Max lost HALF of his skin ripped away from the road. He has been receiving acupuncture, laser treatments and has to wear special shoes to allow his paw pads to regrow.

We went back and forth on whether to post or not and we understand the photo can be bothersome but we thinks its important for our community members to be aware. While this particular thing doesn't happen everyday, JCAC is bringing in dogs in AWFUL shape, regularly.

"Max" has made an incredible amount of progress and is going to make a full recovery!

We were waiting to get word from the vet that "Max" was ready to come back to JCAC but that wasn't in his plans... He made the entire vets office fall in love, including the vet who has adopted Max!

Max still has a road of recovery ahead of him but he's in the perfect place for that. If you're in Dr. Lamczyk's office you might see him running around ;)

With that being said, when you donate to JCAC you aren't just helping out with dog food, adoption fee's, etc. you're helping us save lives like Max.

Thank you to everyone who tried to stop the driver, MVPD officers for their quick response, Dr. Lamczyk staff and those who have called to check on him.

*Bonnie & Clyde* (ID1)

This super cute duo have been here wayyy too long! They are roughly 5mos or 6mos old and MORE than ready for their FUREVERS. We believe them to be either Rhodesian Ridgeback or Shepard mixes. We expect them to grow to be med/large size dogs.

They love playing with toys and a good game of tug of war. They would be great for a family with kiddos!

They do not have to be adopted together and their adoption fee's are ONLY $65 ea.

Happy adoption day to sweet Caroline! She is looking amazing after having her cherry eye removed! Thankyou again to Sarah Robb and family for donating to go towards that procedure in memory of Brad Robb.

Miss Caroline hit the jack pot, these two fell in love with her immediately and came to visit her daily and give her a few baths and play time! Happy Tails all around and thankyou again for choosing a shelter pet!

(Caroline was still a little sleepy from her big day at the veterinarian office but we promise she is excited for her furever home!)
