We love serving you and your furry family members for your questions and their healthcare needs, it's what keeps us coming in each day! However, with the changing of the season we have also seen changes in how our staff, particularly reception, are being treated. Please be kind and remember:

- If you are not a client we still try to help you but do need to establish care prior to giving medical advice (this is the law).

- We try very hard to get in current clients quickly for concerns: this may look like a same week appointment or a drop off appointment. However, we do not always have availability for same day in room appointments, this is not because we do not care about you. Calling earlier in the day helps give us more time to try our best to help you.

- Estimates are provided for current and future appointments; they are estimates as we cannot always predict exactly how long a procedure will go or exactly what medications each individual pet will require. Yelling at reception for not knowing exactly what will happen during a visit does nothing but add stress to the day and postpone patient care. If you have a price range or priority list/question to give us this can be very helpful to us for knowing where to focus our treatment and work with you to create a plan tailored specifically to you and your pet.

- We know the holidays are coming and money is a stressor for all. We would love to work with you to find the best solution for everyone. We do accept Care Credit, Scratch pay, Apple Pay, credit/debit cards, and cash.

Thank you all so much for supporting Animal Care Center, and allowing us to be part of your pets healthcare needs! It brightens our day to see your happy cats and dogs (and the occasional pocket pets!)

Dear Valued Clients,

We want to express our sincere gratitude for your continued trust in Animal Care Center for your veterinary needs. As demand for our services has increased, we often receive requests to accommodate additional patients beyond our doctors' full schedules. To uphold our commitment to providing exceptional care while ensuring availability for all clients, we are implementing a revised fee structure for cancellations and no-show appointments.

Appointment Confirmation and Cancellation Policy:

- In-room appointments will be confirmed 48 hours in advance.
- Procedure appointments will be confirmed 72 hours in advance.

To avoid any fees, we kindly ask that you reschedule or cancel your appointment at least 48–72 hours prior to the scheduled time.

Same-Day Appointments: For same-day appointments, we are happy to accommodate your needs, but please be aware that our cancellation policy will still apply. If you need to cancel or reschedule a same-day appointment, please do so as soon as possible to minimize any fees.

Cancellation Fees:

- Cancellations made within 48 hours: $50
- Cancellations made within 24 hours: $79
- No-show without prior notice: $100
- Surgical procedure no-show or late cancellation: $250

To implement this policy, we will need to keep a card on file when you book your appointment. This ensures that any applicable fees can be processed efficiently.

How to Avoid Fees:

To prevent incurring these fees, please contact our office at tel:3608480180 to notify us of any changes at least 48 hours before your appointment.

We understand that extenuating circumstances may arise, and we will consider them on a case-by-case basis; however, we cannot guarantee waivers.

Thank you for your understanding and support as we navigate the evolving landscape of veterinary care. We remain dedicated to providing the highest level of service to our clients and their beloved pets.

Warm regards,

The Animal Care Center team

Our Story

In 2017, the Animal Care Center became part of the WellHaven PetHealth family.

We are very excited to announced that Dr. Leslie Kasper has joined our team full time. Dr. Kasper graduated from Washington State University in 2005. Since then she has worked in a variety of aspects of veterinary medicine including small animal clinical medicine, agricultural herd health, teaching veterinary technician students, and most recently animal welfare. Dr. Kasper’s favorite part about clinical medicine is interacting with the clients and partnering with them to provide the best care possible for their four-legged family members. She loves nutrition, behavior, soft tissue surgery, and dentistry. Outside of the hospital Dr. Kasper is active in a couple of local feline spay/neuter and rescue groups, enjoys all types of outside activities, rebuilding her enormous LEGO collection, and traveling with her family. At home, she and her husband have two Dachshunds (Piglet & Molly), three cats (Monkey, TuTu, and Asher), and a human toddler named Rory.

There are many exciting changes happening around the clinic. Please check back for updates.
