Giving his paw
Patton working on giving me his paw. Still rehabbing from the broken nail.
Training heel next to walker.
We always emphasize treating your dog at your pants seam and not in front of you. This is a perfect example of why. Georgia had been started with me on heel and treating only at the pants seem. Took a couple months off. Came in for Board and Train because dad needs her to heel while he uses a walker and transitions to canes to walk. In her time off she had started getting treats in front of her. Took 10 days of training to retrain that we only get treats at the side so we can start working on what we need to for his needs. TEN days wasted training but we are on the right track now and things should move quickly.

Come down to see our current Intro to Tracking Class, and talk with Suzanne about signing up for the next course! It’s really fun to do with your dog and something about seeing them work and accomplish goals changes the bond you have with your dog. This is an excellent way of mentally tire our those active breeds. Another way of teaching your dog to use their noses, instead of their eyes!
Come down to watch our class today! 6pm-7pm.
