Lucky Dawg rescue is grateful for your continued backing. As we prepare for our next transport, we invite you to consider making a donation to help us relocate Sugar, her seven puppies, and five adult dogs to their new homes in Colorado. Our transportation cost per dog is $25, and we appreciate any donation.
Sugar is one of the 3 very pregnant lab mamas that were discarded at a local vet to be spayed!

Please help control the population of dogs and cats. We can't get ahead of it without your part! The next time you call a shelter and they're full remember don't be mad at them be mad at the people that were irresponsible!

It's sometimes a dog you didn't think was ever going to turn around. She earned the right to be guarded and scared. Shame on the human that caused her not to trust. Yesterday Ruby (one of the sweet mama's that was dropped off to be spayed and discarded full term pregnant) allowed me to show her the most love I could. And after weeks of sitting with her and showing her that people haven't given up on her, this happened. Watch video in comments.

Wonder why we do it ? Because someone needs to. That's why on Friday nights we're at groomers donating their time and talents to help us show dogs that not everyone abandons them.
Then on Saturday mornings why we show up at Vet clinics with our Vet Tech friends to let us sit in pens to assure a mama that not everyone is cruel, and some people are safe and petting feels like love in action.
And why after that we meet someone who is a good Samaritan that saves the dog from being dumped even though she doesn't have. Tiffany stepped up to the plate and met me to get that dog as an emergency intake to the Humane Society.
That's what the days look like in the Rescue world every dang day so when you see us out there, just know if we look tired, we are.
But saving animals would be a lot easier if people would just be responsible for what they chose to take on and spay and neuter their pets.
Then once they decide to take a pet that they freaking take care of it. Living creatures are not disposable .
Please be the person that steps up and takes responsibility and are the eyes and ears in our community to let us know about animals in need, but also know that we can't work miracles every damn day. But yesterday and today we sure did.
