Forwarded: Hi, I'm new here to 208 Barn Help, and I need help. I'm very grateful for such a networking site. Thank you to the administrators.
Our barn manager is retiring in 30-days, and we need to find someone to fill his shoes/boots. Grant it, it may be hard, but I'm certain there is someone out there that can "make it so".
We are taking applications for the position of Barn Manager at the Dream River Ranch, LLC. DRR is an intentional equestrian community that is situated on 80-acres alongside of the the historic Idaho-Oregon Trail on the high desert prairie in SW Idaho... 30-min east of Boise... romantic scenery, indeed.
Here is what we need, an experienced horse-person who can manage feeding around 20-head of horses daily (the number fluctuates). In addition to a hand-full of boarders, there is a string of horses on site that are used in a therapeutic horseback riding program as well as lessons in trail-riding and Working Equitation. Other duties are, attend to auto-waterers, electro-braid fencing, clean a max of 6 stalls during horse-show season, be available during horse shows, manage the manure pile, and help with some ranch and ranch-house yard maintenance. Skills in mechanics, welding, and driving farm equipment is surely a bonus we can appreciate.
Here's what you get, a 400sqft furnished 1-bedroom bunkhouse at a super reasonable rate with utilities included, free board for 1 horse, park 1 trailer for free, along with training/teacher opportunities available as well.
We are looking for someone who can become like family in our intentional community. We will help you grow as you help us grow. Serious applicants only, please. Reply via DM for more info.
Thank you for reading, pass it along if you know someone who might be interested; and have a blessed day.
What is co-operative living? Think of it as co-housing, eco-village and communal living. All these buzz words fall under the umbrella of Intentional Community. Here are a few actions we practice:
