ANNOUNCING 📢 Sassy and Millie had there babies ! They had singletons 5 & 4 days ago, one boy and one girl ! 💙💖 We had 2 c-sections , 12 hours apart , 2 healthy babies !
Since this has been a unexpected outcome we will be deciding if, we are keeping for our program ! If not we will be reaching out to first on our waiting list !
We feel very blessed with these two, very healthy, perfect babies and they are doing fantastic ! 🫶🏻

🚨 ATTENTION 🚨 a friendly reminder for prevention !
A VERY serious matter, for ALL Pets and children, NEVER EVER , LEAVE THEM IN A VEHICLE ! We hear the stories and we see the reminding posts and never think it will happen, this is particularly to us smushed faced dog owners, they are at a way higher risk !
This really touched too close to home , my oldest son’s Frenchie had a heat stroke yesterday and he didn’t make it , heat stoke is nothing to mess with and we are very, very heartbroken !
Please do NOT leave your pets in your vehicle for ANY amount of time in this heat ! Please do not make this same VERY preventable mistake !

We came into the summer hot and heavy, and the heat streak continues into July.

We want to take a minute again and make sure to remind you to keep your pets cool this summer. It takes a very short amount of time for your pet to become overheated, and there are a lot of things we can do to prevent that from happening:

1. NEVER leave kids or pets in the car, no matter how short a time frame it might be. The vehicle's internal temperature can rise up to 20 degrees in less than 10 minutes and then it might be too late.

2. Avoid allowing your pet to play at the hottest time of the day. Early mornings and late evenings are usually the safer time frames to allow your pet to go on a romp around the yard.

3. Shaving your pet does more harm than you think. If you have a pet that has a thick coat, we recommend keeping them inside during the summer before you think about shaving them. Their coats are designed to allow airflow through the strands of hair, almost like a breeze, but if we take that hair away we are also taking away their means of thermoregulation. Shaving your pet also opens them up to sunburns as well, so before you make this decision, try keeping them inside, in the shade with a fan, and doing lots of brush outs to avoid hair in your home.

4. Make sure that your pet has access to plenty of water! Hydration is a big deal and can actually protect your pet from becoming too hot. Offering cool-room temperature water to them as much as possible allows them to stay cool as well. Be warned, though, that providing ice cold water to a hot pet can cause their body to go into a state of shock.

5. If you notice your pet exhibiting any of the symptoms that accompany heat stroke, do not hesitate to call your veterinarian and head into the clinic. Time is of the essence and the sooner we can intervene, the better chance your pet has of survival!
