I always encourage owners to bring whatever food, snacks, etc that their fur kid is used to getting at home. Even breakfast bananas! 🤣

I want my place to be like a 2nd home to them & not miss out on things while here. ❤️

Health Update on Karissa:

🔥My neck is a mess & still causing daily pain. I have to watch how much weight I pick up, how I raise my arms above my head & how much I pull on something. My hands go numb & my neck feels like it's on fire when I aggravate it.

🙄The surgeon is saying there's nothing he can do to make things better. I am now being referred to a spine center that specializes in managing pain. Been there & done that already but hey maybe a new place will have different options. 🙃 I sure hope so! Have a consultation with them on the 4th.

🐕 I have been doing ok with the boarding & daycare aspects of running things. Computer work is not too fun but I'm limiting it to an hour at a time. Sean is helping me keep up with deep cleaning suites & I'm keeping up with the rest of the cleaning. I've also got my house & 6 animals of my own to keep up with! Things are slow at the moment due to the winter season & hopefully things are more under control by Spring. Boarding averages 15-18 dogs per night from Spring to Fall!

🦸‍♀️ Marina is wonder women with the grooming & is literally what's keeping that part of the business going. So, please tip her well! She does a fabulous job & she's dedicated. She even walked a good 1/2 mile up our dirt road during that first storm with all the snow & ice just to get to work!

I really appreciate everyone's understanding & patience with all this.

🎉🎉IMPORTANT UPDATE🎉🎉

✨️Due to health reasons, Karissa will be transitioning the majority of grooming clients to Marina✨️

I have been dealing with a bone spur on C6 pinching the nerve for over 2 weeks now. Xrays showed the issue & getting the MRI scheduled has been a challenge, had it scheduled for the 10th only to have it canceled because the wrong order was put in & now waiting on a new date. 😩

I am testing what I can & cannot do with grooming. Did a bath, brush & blowdry on a very well behaved toy poodle yesterday. My neck seized up within a few hours. I'm going to try short haired baths this next week on 2 well behaved pups & see how it goes. Full Grooms are completely out of the picture, along with shed less baths. I am very sad about this but it is what it is & I need to be able to run the boarding & daycare portion of things.

I appreciate everyone being patient with me these past few weeks. Pain sucks.
