Funny Friday. Here is beautiful Teton with his 5 legs. 🫣
Ok, seriously… for non horse photographers, this is what we deal with a lot of the time with stallions. I can’t tell you how many I’ve edited out. 😂 I’m used to it, but if I leave it as is, many people just have a difficult time seeing what the photo is about other than… that. Also, whenever someone purchases a print, they want them “distraction” free. Haha. But just this once I’m posting without editing to show you Teton in all his glory. He’s very proud of himself. 👑

In Memory of seabiscuit.
Bred by Gladys Mills Phipps; Kentucky, USA. Was retired to stud and later died there of a heart attack.Career Earnings: $437,730 (89 starts; 33 wins, 15 places, 13 shows)
He was the leading money earner in 1937, U.S. Champion Handicap Male of 1937 and 1938, and U.S. Horse of the Year in 1938. Was was inducted to the United States’ Racing Hall of Fame in 1958 and was ranked as #25 in the Top 100 U.S. Racehorses of the 20th Century ranking by the Blood Horse magazine. A life-sized statue of him is standing at Santa Anita Park, others at Ridgewood Ranch, the Re*****on Carriage Museum and another one outside the main entrance of The Shops at Tanforan, former site of the Tanforan Racetrack. The location of his real grave however is only known by the immediate Howard family. During the Greast Depression he became a symbol of hope for many Americans and his story is told in various books, artworks and movies

Exercising in the snow yesterday!!
Suffolk Punch Nemo and Clydesdale Charlie🧡❤️
All the horses are inside in this weather, most had turnout despite the weather (meeting welfare needs!) and these two, both with a definitive requirement to get out, get moving, could either be walked out In Hand or ridden.
Wellll.....you guessed it, ridden won! 💯☺️
Charlie has one leg with a long standing condition called lymphodaema, and Nemo is doing fabulously as he recovers from a fall in the field whilst pratting around with the other horses. Yes, horses seem to have a permanent desire to give us vet bills!!
Both are looking well and were quite sprightly!! The snow is quite slushy today we even have a Farm Riding Experience going out!!

Ahhhhh.....with legs that long Jonny can wrap well!! 🤣🤣
