Spring has sprung🌞🐾 we had some muddy play days but are so grateful for the sunshine and warmer tempts drying everything out😊 of course the dogs don't mind they just want fresh air and to play🐾🌞 we have a lot of new furbabies staying with us this week. We have Dolly and Huckleberry, Shadow,Tye,Spunky, and Buttercup welcome! So exciting to make new friends for us and them❤️ FYI! While the boss is away, the gals have been working hard! Cleaning and spending a lot of time with your furbabies🐶❤️🐾 without these amazing gals. i would not be able to take a break. We have gotten some new boarders while I've been gone. The first three pics;) oliver,sage and blue welcome! To all of them. Fun in the snow❄️❄️ the pups sure do enjoy being outside in the white fluffy stuff. Lol, if it is too cold,
we have a ton of activities for them to do inside to keep them busy;) Some have asked how much does the extra activities cost? It does not cost extra for enrichment activities this is included in the price of their stay😊🐾 The only thing we charge extra for at this time is giving any meds that ranges from dropping a pill in their food to giving insulin. We can't decide what our favorite is. outside time or them snuggled in their beds:) we think both! Had so much fun with these babies🐶❤️ Day care people. It's going to be chilly again this week, so if you need to keep the pups home, we understand❄️🌞🥶 We do have our warming hut. Lol/ green house with heat in it that helps a lot! Thank goodness we have it🥰 I have one announcement! I (wendy) will be gone for the next 3 weeks. Since I am the one who answers messages and texts, you will need to call the kennel directly to make an appt. I may not have my phone with me:) Have a great week, everyone, and stay warm!

The dogs were loving the snow today❄️❄️❄️ Buttttt I should say brrrrr. We have some colder temps coming. Day care people, if you decide to keep pups home, we understand:) we do have a nice heated greenhouse now to warm up, and we have a lot of fun things for them to do inside also. We have a lot of long stays with us, so we are taking every precaution we need to when they go outside❄️🐾 bundle up because baby, it's cold outside🥶❄️ ❄️ ❄️ ❄️ 💕💕

It was a very busy and productive weekend😎🌞🐾 we got to spend a lot of time with all these fur babies🐶🐱❤️ And we started on one of our goals for this year! We love it already❤️ We cleared out some of the trees in the big yard, and there is now even more room! The dogs love it, and we do, too! This months pet of the month is our buddy Bandit!🐾 He as you can see is one of our special needs dogs but that does not slow him down at all:) put his wheels on and he is ready to go do whatever it is we are doing for the day:) he loves fetch and the water and loves walks too he also just enjoys sitting outside and watching the world go by. He is one of many favorites we take care of, and he has our heart ❤️ we love Bandit!!!❤️🐾

Have to say this first month of the new year has not disappointed us:) we've had sunshine and a lot! Of pupper dogs🐾🌞 even though it has cooled down a bit, a little sunshine goes a long Way🌞 we have a few announcements. I'll try to keep it short, but you know how that goes. Lol
1. It's the new year, and it's time to check vaccinations on your pups and kitties🐶🐱 wether you think you are boarding them or not, we recommend they go in for their yearly check up:) this is a great time to find out if they need to be updated on vaccines and to also make sure they are continuing to stay in good health:) your vet should be checking heart,ears,eyes, throat, skin,coat, etc.. so make that appointment if they are due for a check up:)
2. Thank you all for participating in helping us pick a color for the lobby:) we will be painting in the next week or two and will post when we are done;) we really appreciate all the input;)
3. We need your help again. We have some changes we will be implementing that will enhance your pets staying with us. What we would love to hear from you is... what would you all like to see added as a service to what we already do? Is there a change of something you'd like to see or something you would like to see us doing? We want to hear from you:) Please comment, and you may see your idea implemented this year at the kennel🐶🐾🐱

We have had a great start to the new year🐾❤️🐾 and taking care of all these fur babies is a huge part of that:) I can't even count how many new furry friends we made in 2024. We are looking forward to making many more in 2025! We have updated the website. Something new we are doing this year will be a news letter to keep everyone up to date on things:) once i have a minute or two to sit and write it:) lol first one will be out this month. The website also has the calendar up for the year for closure days and deep cleaning days each month. We also have a handout we are giving out at the kennel also:) You can go to selkirk kennels.com for any info you may need and sign up for the news letter;) We aren't booking appts through the website, so you will still need to call or message us😊 we love hearing and speaking with you😊 have a great weekend everyone!
