It is with a sad heart that I am updating this page that we are shutting the farm down. For nearly 6 years we have had a great time with many students and boarders. You all with your support allowed me to reach many dreams. So many students of all ages became like family to us. You have all followed us along from a young couple buying our first home, to marriage and then becoming parents. I don't regret any amount of work and stress this place has been. Seeing so many kids come and enjoy the farm was what I always dreamed of. I wanted to create a farm that was every child's dream and I feel we succeeded.
Unfortunately as the world changes, we feel the need to make changes for the betterment of our family. Having enough lesson horses to support our program has become too expensive and my personal boys (Mocha and Sawyer) have worked hard for me for over 10 years now. They are tired and ready to retire. I'm tired and ready to focus on my family who has been unfortunately second in most of these years.
I know many have known this was coming, for many others it will be a complete surprise and for that I'm very sorry. We have had many ups and downs regarding this decision, so many backs and forths. We have already said more goodbyes (for now) than I have ever wanted to in my life.
Our beloved farm will be for sale in the coming months. A few of our animals have already been placed with very dear and trusted friends. The rest (most) animals will be staying with us, so no need to worry about them.
Please feel free to reach out on my personal messenger or text if you have a child who would like to come visit one last time in the next week or two.
(I have been promising current students a list of referral places and am still working on that 🙃 )
Love you all,
Claire and Channing (Chuck also, but he knows everyone less 😅)
