Long post. But please read. 📖
Naomi's backstory.🐾
I don't know much about her backstory other than she didn't come from a good home. She was found as a stray, pregnant, and terrified. She had to of been "someone's dog" at some point because she's potty trained, knows a few commands and is very loyal when she trusts you. I say "someone's dog" because they didn't treat her like their pet. 😭
When I first met Naomi i feel like we bonded instantly. I walked with her and sat with her in the yard at the shelter for awhile. Then brought her home. She was so scared, didn't like my husband. A few days of me slowly introducing her to my husband she became bonded to him. My daughter and her bonded instantly. With my son we went slow, he loves animals but I feel my daughter is more the animal whisper and with Naomis trust issues I didnt want her to not have a connection with him. Then we introduced our doggos. 🐾
She wasn't a fan of our husky Bluey AT ALL!! Attacked her more than once and didn't show interest in my other doggos.😭
Months later when her babies were big and adopted we tried again with our dogs. This time Naomi was happy with 4 out of the 5 but still attacked Bluey. I would bring her inside and put her in a crate and let her be around our choas.🤪 Then when she no longer watched Bluey's every move I'd keep her on a leash with a muzzle and correct her any time she responded to Bluey negatively. Then we slowly let her play with all of our doggos off leash outside. Norah, who is our black dog in the video also corrects her and Naomi respects her! Norah is our mother hen, and she protects Bluey. Which has helped tremendously! And now we are here, inside, playing until Norah corrects her. And then they play more and it's been nonstop.🐾☺️
Shes been to the vet twice since being with us. Her first visit with the vet was worrisome, more for me because I wasn't sure how she'd act. But with some meds and a muzzle she did better than expected
Wrigley's first visit with me i couldn't even touch his feet which made nail clippings a nightmare. And now look at him, we celebrate each nail clipped and he doesn't want to eat me anymore. 😍😍
Here's Harper before her groom yesterday fighting herself. 🤣 I totally spaced getting her and her sister Ginseys after photo though. 😔
Bluey and Mina are best friends. 🖤🖤
I love when it's husky day. 🖤
I'm sure my neighbors don't. 😂😂
Good evening dog parents. I will not be responding to any messages until Tuesday. My family and I are camping this weekend.🏕 And then my husband's birthday is Monday🎂. I'm spending some much needed time with my kiddos and husband and will get back to everyone's messages on Tuesday🖤. I hope you and your doggos have a wonderful weekend and I hope every mother has an amazing Mother's Day. 🌹
