Rocky's adoption update:

" Theresa, just wanted to give you an update on the adoption of Skipper. We changed his name to Rocky, which he knows and listens well. He hates the vet, baths, and nail clipping and rain! 🙂
He loves ice cream, visiting grandma in Ohio, rolling in the grass, and belly scratches! We think of you when we pass through Muldrow. We tell Rocky he is in old stomping grounds, he looks at us like we are crazy!😊 He has such a character. We find something new about him all the time. He has never had an interest in toys; however, when we visit Chris's mom in Ohio he gathers all of the dog toys, hoards them, and play growls when you try to take them. He is enjoying his best dog life. We love him so much, thank you for allowing for this to happen."

In Loving memory of Bora adopted from Ahimsa Rescue Foundation December 2008

"Dear Teresa,

Do you remember when you let me fly out from CT to pick up this little girl? I think it was December 2008. You picked me up from the airport and allowed me to spend the day with you.

Bora was a timid little girl about 5-7 years old. I was so young at 22 years old and had longed for an adorable beagle. She fit right in with me and now my husband Austin.

She enjoyed eating apples from the tree in the back yard, a good romp around the yard and then a nap in her favorite dog bed.

I just want to thank you both for taking a chance on me. I am forever grateful to you for my first beagle. We miss her. I am thankful I had the opportunity to give her the best life she could have!"

In a small town in the middle of Sequoyah County, Oklahoma there is an extraordinary “all volunteer” animal rescue where families travel from across the country to adopt rescued pets from the Ahimsa Rescue Foundation.
Ahimsa Rescue Foundation is unique in the world of animal rescue. Ahimsa Rescue Foundation strives to find the most perfect, loving homes possible for the pets that come into rescue with us.
Ahimsa’s goal is to unite pets and people to form loving and lasting families. We take into consideration both the family’s lifestyle and the individual personalities of our animals.
And once an animal passes through Ahimsa's adoption programs, we are responsible for them for life. In fact, we insist that if for any reason the adoptive family cannot keep their pet, he or she must be returned to us for re-homing.

Lady is doing so good!! She’s definitely very social and LOVES to cuddle! Link is loving her and the neighbor dogs were barking at her so he stepped between and started barking at the neighbors like he was defending his sister. It was adorable! Nugget loves living her life at Ahimsa Rescue Foundation.

Ahimsa’s pet caregivers/volunteers love Nugget and look forward to seeing her each time they volunteer at Ahimsa.

Ahimsa Rescue Foundation is run by animal loving volunteers who graciously and freely give their time, energy, and resources to provide love and care to the rescued animals at Ahimsa.

Ahimsa Rescue Foundation volunteers receive NO compensation other than the deep satisfaction in knowing that they are saving the lives of animals who are vigilant guards, relentless messengers, gentle baby-sitters, brave soldiers, hilarious clowns, and mostly, dear friends. Thank you Ahimsa volunteers. You are greatly appreciated!

Ahimsa Rescue Foundation is run like a doggy daycare, and dogs love being at Ahimsa; however, they are very much in need of a good home.

Please have your pet spayed and neutered and encourage your pet owner friends to spay and neuter their pets because there are not enough homes.
