🚨Urgent!🚨
Anyone available to help foster four puppies?
All the pups have foster homes. Thank you EVERYONE who has offered help. We know this is an upsetting situation, but they will be safe. They will be ready in roughly 3-4 weeks for adoption, once the stray hold is up and they have been properly vetted. For now, the focus will be getting them dewormed and vaccinated, and healthy enough for adoption.
Update: we don’t have any additional photos or information on these pups. Two are going to a foster today. They aren’t available for adoption of for us to just give away. We are trying to process all the apps and answer all the questions. I am under the weather and trying to keep up as best I can from my couch where I’ve been for the last 24 ish hours, and the rest of the staff are passing out the animals thanksgiving meals and trying to get them all tucked in for the afternoon so staff can hopefully leave before the snowstorm hits. Please note we are trying our best.
We just received a phone call from someone who found four young shepherd mix puppies late last night. They were in a ditch on the side of a country road- we know nothing about their prior vetting or how they ended up there, but currently they are having solid stool and eating. Because we have puppies that survived parvo in our quarantine, it isn’t safe to bring four young puppies into our dog shelter in the event that the surviving puppies are still in the shedding phase of the virus and the new pups would be inadvertently exposed to parvo.
The puppies are currently in this persons garage but can’t stay there long term. We are working on a solution if we can’t find any fosters but the soonest that we can help would be Monday as we have several staff members home sick and and the possibility of a snow storm.
If we have anyone who can foster either two pups or all four, please message us. It’s important that you have the ability to keep them seperate from your current dogs in the event that they are harboring any parasites or viruses but not showing signs yet.
Please message us if you can help!
