Two real feedbacks from people who took the Impact X class. This is what makes me know that the relentless schedule is worth it.

In a meeting with folks last week, one of the leaders said we’re in the middle of mid-level American City renaissance. And, outsiders see it here. We just have to deal with our collective trauma, and the belief that we’re not good enough here.

In Place Impact Muncie is a certified Impact Economics consulting service located in the heart of the community we serve. Our headquarters is located in The Muncie Community Market at 900 W. 8th Street Muncie, IN; part of the historical Avondale district.

As we roll out the next steps of this project, I just wanted to share these photos from when we launched Common Market and began our work on revitalizing this neighborhood. It was 2014, and almost everyone told me it would never work. There was no support, we don't say this to be victims. We say this to share the reality of what it was like in 2014!

The new apartments had not even been announced yet at The old GM Plant on 8th St. There was no support from any organizations or government support, we were on our own but 100% committed. This is just a reminder that we've been here and will be here.

So, when we lay out the plans for the future know that it may take us another 10 years! 2014 to 2024 has been a heck of a ride! Thank you Muncie, you've had our back and we have yours too!

Ball State University Miller College of Business has been a great community partner for In Place Impact!

It is FREE, but we ask you to please pre-register so we can be prepared for it! It is at BSU's Oakwood Center (The old school on Oakwood Ave).

The Plank Brothers property was completely overgrown when we bought in March of 2020. (Two weeks before the national shut down for Covid started I might add)
