Thank you Samantha for being the hero for Sky! Because of Samantha’s generosity in sponsoring Sky, we can offer Sky at a reduced adoption fee of just $60. Additionally, we will include a 6 month supply of her heartworm medicine! That’s a $60 value right there! Sky loves the king toys that were sent for a Christmas present for the dogs, along with the Kong stuffers. If you are looking for an active yet not too hyper young dog but not a puppy, Sky may be it! Apply online at Munciearf.com 🐾 She gets along with the dogs she’s played with at ARF, loves people, and is not a barker in her kennel. She’s 35 lbs and ready for her forever home! She’s vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped!
Patricia was another cat we simply could not release to the outdoors after spaying her which had been the plan. She was so loving and affectionate we knew she deserved a warm home and comfy lap to call her own for the rest of her life.
🎶 it’s a husky thing, they do what the wanna… 🎶 Like the song in this video says, Victor does what he wants! We all absolutely adore this uniquely marked husky/pit (we think) mix. Victor was a stray dumped at the reservoir. He was picked up and brought to us, and weighed 10 pounds less than what he does now. Victor will need an experienced husky home because he does have a stubborn streak. He can easily hop up on counters and will if there’s food left out. He doesn’t love for you to take his food away, so we have to offer him a more valuable trade to get him to let us have whatever he has found! He’s a smart dog and knows what he wants- which is usually food! He would love someone who is home a lot because he doesn’t love to be alone. If you love huskies and would like more information on seeing if Victor would be a good fit for you, please message us on Facebook!
Annie’s story is one of hope and resilience. As the last kitten of her litter, she’s had to navigate a world that’s been a little quieter without her siblings by her side. But now, she’s ready for a fresh start—one filled with love, warmth, and the care she deserves. Her wish for Catmas is simple: she wants the nurturing help of KMR (Kitten Milk Replacement) to thrive and grow strong, but most of all, she dreams of finding a forever home where she can experience the joy of being loved.
Though she’s the last of her litter, Annie’s spirit is bright, and she’s just waiting for the right person to give her the chance she needs. This holiday season, you could be the one to give her the best gift of all: a home to call her own.
Jingle and Bells would love to dash through the snow to their forever home soon! These two adorable kittens were recently surrendered to ARF, and we expect them to be ready for new homes after the new year. For the next few weeks, they will enjoy the comforts of a foster home, and through the generosity of ARF supporters, their foster home has been stocked with kitten food, toys, and litter! Thank you to everyone who supports ARF and helps us help animals like Jingle and Bells!
Tiny Clara will be sleep well tonight in a soft bed, with a full belly, while visions of sugar plum fairies dance through her head! Clara was found two nights ago on a county road near the home of a kind person who took her in for the night. Circumstances in that persons life made it so she couldn’t keep her, but she wanted to make sure she was safe so she brought her to ARF. Luckily one of our staff members offered to foster her short term, until a more permanent foster home could be found. If you think you would love to foster our little Ballerina for the next few weeks, please message us on Facebook if you’re an already approved Foster, or fill out an application to Foster on our website at munciearf.com.
The kittens LOVED their Thanksgiving meal!!!
We asked Stewie what he is thankful for. He said “a full belly, a warm place to sleep at night, and for the angel who stopped and picked him up off the side of the road that fateful day two weeks ago.” To everyone who helps us by donating to and supporting ARF, we are thankful for YOU! We may be the ones taking care of these precious souls every day, however we truly couldn’t do this without your support. You helped save Stewie, and so many more animals this year, and for that we are forever thankful.
This little dog who we call Stewie was brought to us Tuesday after being found on 32. His story was posted by his finder who indicated she had taken him to ARF, and the post was shared a lot. No one has come forward as his owner. Stewie was immediately taken to Dr Boyce’s office Tuesday, and meds were started. Unfortunately we aren’t seeing a lot of improvement and we have a follow up appointment today to see what else we can do for him. Stewie is not able to walk well at all, and has little appetite. He did eat well Wednesday, when this video was taken, but unfortunately his appetite hasn’t been great. If this is your dog, please contact us so we can have a more thorough medical history, even if you are unable to take him back. As always, donations for animals like Stewie are always needed and greatly appreciated. Donations can be made directly to our vets office by calling 765-288-1877, or easily online at munciearf.com (click the pawprint to donate), Venmo (@muncie-arf last four of phone 4064) or PayPal ([email protected]) Thank you for your support!
Meet Harvest Moon, a gentle and sweet-natured orange tabby with a heart as warm as his coat. At around 2 years old, Harvest Moon was found wandering outside, where he melted the heart of an ARF supporter who couldn’t bear to see such a precious soul without a home. Now he's looking for a forever family to show him the love and comfort he deserves.
Harvest Moon is a mellow, kind-hearted kitty who adores gentle pets and a cozy spot to curl up. He’s a calm presence and would make a wonderful companion, perfect for anyone seeking a low-key, affectionate friend. Harvest Moon’s golden-orange coat and soulful eyes will brighten up any room, just as his presence will brighten your life.
If you’re ready to give Harvest Moon the safe, loving indoor life he’s been waiting for, come meet him and see if he's the purr-fect match for you!
He's fully vaccinated, neutered, felv/fiv negative, parasite free, dewormed and current on flea/ tick/ earmite and heartworm prevention. Apply at munciearf.com

We just wanted to share this video of our staff member Noah working with the dogs on sitting or greeting people politely while in their kennels. Dogs get very excited and reactive when they have visitors, so Noah has been working with the dogs so they have a better “kennel presence” when adopters walk through the available dogs. The dogs are catching on quickly! They are all so smart, and we want to make sure they have the best chance at finding loving homes, so we have one staff member whose only job is to work on basic commands, and good house manners with all the dogs waiting for adoption!!! Your support helps us help provide a loving environment, enrichment activities, and positive reinforcement and clicker training for all the dogs!
