Our final S.T.A.R. Puppy and Basic Obedience classes for 2024 are full. Our schedule for 2025 is in the works and we hope to have it on our website in November. Thank you for all who have taken our classes as well as our member volunteers who instruct them!

Thanks to our judges, Diane Allen & Lucinda Seeley, and our members and exhibitors for a wonderful 3 day weekend of Rally and Obedience trials. MOTC members: remember to post your successes on the Clubhouse Brags board and get it to us to post on our page.

In scent work class tonight we learned about odor plumes, understanding how the dog works to source and how odor moves out of a water buried hide using dry ice. Then practiced exterior and container searches.

MOTC participated in Grateful Rescue and Sanctuary’s Grateful Fest last Saturday, Sept 7th. We had an amazing day speaking with dog owners about our Club, the classes we have to offer, and answering many questions.

This would not have been possible without all of our amazing volunteers. Thank you Diana Trader, Rick Dalessandro, Jo & Ken Grieger, Brenda Grice, Jeann Crowcroft, Kara Priddy, Kaydin Priddy, and Chris Ashmore-Good.

And most importantly, we want to send a special Thank You to Kendra Ervin and Racheal Green. These two ladies planned everything and made sure all of the equipment made it to Morrow’s Meadow and back again. You two are amazing and are greatly appreciated!

We are so excited to announce that we’ve been asked to return next year and we can’t wait!!

Enrollment is open for our Trick Dog class that begins Thursday October 10 at 6 pm. Here's your chance to earn a Trick Dog title or just have fun! Class meets weekly for one hour for 6 weeks. Dogs must have completed S.T.A.R. puppy, Basic Obedience, a previous Trick Dog class, or have instructor permission. $90 for non-members, $54 for MOTC members. $3 convenience fee for paying by debit or credit card. Scentwork Classes start Wednesday.
6 Weeks on these days:
Sept 11, 18 (skip 2 weeks)
Oct 9, 16, 30 (skip 10/23)
Nov 6.
Going to switch up the class order this time from what I've done in the past.
More advanced dogs at 6:30, Novice Level at 7:30.
8 dogs per class.

Our November Trial is now accepting entries!! One Obedience Trial on Friday, 8 Nov and four Rally Trials on Sat & Sun, 9 & 10 Nov. That's right, you could start and finish a Rally title in one weekend!!

We have a new format and will be running a One Ring Trial for all three days of the show. This means we will have LOTS of extra crating space!! We will also NOT run the Rally trials concurrently. We will instead finish Trial 1 before starting Trial 2 on Saturday and Sunday.

Congratulations to our Junior members, Payton and Paige!!

Payton and Tater (2yo) placed 2nd at the State Fair and Paige and Rosie (1yo) placed 3rd!! Both of their classes had about 85 entries.

Way to go girls!! We’re so proud of the work you’ve done! And of course Rosie and Tater deserve lots of pets and ice cream! 🍦 🦴

A BIG thank you to Chris Ashmore-Good as our host for the Scent Work trial this past weekend at Wapahani High School. She helped set up on Friday, manned the hospitality table on Saturday and Sunday, and helped tear down Sunday. Then she vacuumed the carpets and mopped the floors to have the school ready for the first day of classes this week. YOU ARE AWESOME 👏.
