PACK AND HAUL SATURDAY!

This Saturday, February 22nd, starting at 10 a.m., at the current Shelter Building Across From the Mill, 510 East Munising Avenue, Munising, Michigan. If you have any questions or need directions, please feel free to call (906) 202-9000.

What You’ll Need: Large bin or tote container with lid (18 gallons is a good size) Styrofoam cooler to fit inside (you can use a smaller bin/tote if you can’t find a Styrofoam cooler) Sharpie Knife or Box Cutter Straw— not hay! Ruler or Measuring Tape Duct Tape (or other strong tape)

DEADLY cold temperatures will be hitting Detroit each night this week.

Have outdoor dogs? You will save your dog’s life by bringing them inside at least at night!

Please bring in your pets with the high winds and cold temps. Warning for humans in effect too. ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Wind chills down to 20 below zero could be seen tonight. Avoid time outside as frostbite could set in within 30 minutes or less.

A great big THANK YOU to the Chatham area Girl Scouts who recently met at the Shelter and helped care for the animals, socialized them, and made some pretty wonderful toys for them to play with during social time. It was a really fun day for all! ❤

The shelter is in need of electric heaters while we work up at the new building to keep us warm from this cold weather 🥶 if anyone is able to help us out and donate towards a few heaters, we would be so appreciative!! ❄️ as always, thank you so much for your support throughout this process!

Only 3 days before V-Day & Darla would love to have a Valentines family! 💘 Darla is the sweetest girl and loves to give cuddles! She’s about a year old herself, does well with older kiddos, and is dog selective so would be best in a home with one dog or less. She would like a quieter home where she can relax in 🩷

Little Trexe girl is still hunting for a quiet home! She’s pretty timid and likes to spend her time hiding in cozy spots. She needs a quiet, relaxing home as the only kitty where she’ll hopefully be comfortable enough to come out of her shell! Please share & help us find this cutie a new home! 😻🧡

Here's another update on, Ace. "Ace is the kids best friend! He walks down our hill every day to meet them from the bus stop. And rides in the front seat to take them to school! He is very goofy and is such a gentle giant. " Ace is such a lucky boy. He's living his best life ever! Thank you to all of our supporters, volunteers, and donors for continuing to make this possible.
