Meet ozzy. Ozzy has been with us since he was 8 weeks old. He came in when his litter was left at food lion in January of 2024. He has been with us for 371 days and turned 1 year old here at the shelter. Ozzy is a sweet boy who would love to learn there's more to life than the kennels. Xylitol can be found in a lot of products and it's now being labeled as Birch Sugar because it's extracted from Birch bark. It's toxic to dogs, cats and ferrets. Check your peanut butter ingredients before you give your animals any and if they get into something they shouldn't have, read the ingredients to know if you should get them to the vet right away!

🎉 Happy Tails, Agatha! 🐾

Our sweet Agatha has hit the jackpot! Not only has she found her forever family, but she’s now living the celebrity life. Her new dad is none other than Mo Brings Plenty, the beloved star of the hit show Yellowstone! Alongside his amazing and incredibly kind wife, Sara Ann Brings Plenty, Agatha is now the cherished daughter of this wonderful couple.

From rescuing animals to embodying loyalty and heart on screen (Yellowstone fans, you know what we mean 😉), Mo and Sara Ann have shown us what true kindness looks like. We are overjoyed that Agatha will be showered with the love and care she deserves in her new home!

We hope Agatha’s story inspires others to consider adopting and shines a spotlight on the incredible dogs still waiting for their forever families. Celebrities and cowboys aside, every pup deserves a home as perfect as hers!

An 11-year-old boy in North Carolina named Jamie Parker got buried in rubble when a mudslide hit his grandparents' house during Hurricane Helene. But he's okay after his family's dog found him.

His name is Tucker. He stood where Jamie was and wouldn't budge until firefighters got there and used chainsaws to get him out.

Jamie and his sister used their allowance three years ago to save Tucker when he was about to be put down at a shelter. So it's almost like he wanted to return the favor. (Here's a photo.)
