Congratulations Mackenzie Reynolds!!

The American Saddlebred Museum is proud to announce Mackenzie Reynolds as the recipient of the 2025 Keith Bartz Impact Scholarship Award. This $1,500 scholarship honors individuals who exemplify the dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence that former Museum Executive Director Keith Bartz embodied throughout his life and career.

Mackenzie, a 17-year-old senior at Rockvale High School in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, plans to pursue a degree in Business with a minor in Horse Science at Middle Tennessee State University. Her exceptional academic achievements are matched by her deep involvement in both her school and the American Saddlebred community. Mackenzie is a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, DECA, and the varsity track team, in addition to serving as a peer tutor for special education students.

Beyond academics, Mackenzie has been deeply committed to the American Saddlebred industry. She has been riding and showing Saddlebreds for seven years at Harris Training and Riding Academy and now shares her passion by teaching beginner riding lessons. Mackenzie is also actively involved with the American Saddlebred Horse and Breeders Association Youth Council, serves as president of her barn’s youth club, and is a lesson instructor for the Peppermint Equine Project (PEP)—a nonprofit providing riding lessons to foster children in Middle Tennessee. Additionally, she participates in the UPHA Ribbons of Service Project, raising funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital through custom handmade items and community service projects.

“Mackenzie’s dedication to the Saddlebred industry and her outstanding leadership in her community truly reflect the spirit of the Keith Bartz Impact Scholarship,” said Jennifer Foster, Executive Director of the American Saddlebred Museum. “Her commitment to mentoring young riders and supporting charitable causes exemplifies the values this award honors.”

The Museum congratulates Mackenzie Reynolds on this well-deserved recognition and looks forward to seeing the positive impact she will continue to make in the Saddlebred community and beyond.
