January 17th is Betty White Day.

On this day we celebrate the memory of the iconic Betty White who was known for her infectious laughter and the joy she brought into our lives through decades of television and film. Betty's legacy extends far beyond the screen as she was a true animal lover who devoted her life, fame and fortune to advocating for our furry friends.

Betty White Day is not just a celebration but an opportunity to continue the good work she did throughout her lifetime. Betty's love for animals lives on through shelters like ours, and we invite you to join us in making a difference in the life of one or all of our adoptable animals.

On Friday January 17th and Saturday January 18th we are celebrating the life of this amazing woman in multiple ways.

We are taking $25 off of the adoption fee of all animals who have any white on them. If you are looking to open your home to a new fur baby, now would be a wonderful time to do it in honor of Betty White.

If you're not in a place where you can add a furry friend to your family but would like to honor Betty by making a donation to our shelter, we would be honored to accept it.

Your kindness echoes the spirit of Betty White, and together, we can continue to make the world a better place for our animals.

St. Francis CARE's Furry Friday!

Every Friday, we will feature one of our adoptable animals who is waiting for their forever home. This animal will be on special for 1 week only. If you are interested in meeting our featured pet, apply at www.stfrancis-care.org/adopt. But get your application in quickly. You don't want to miss out on the special!

This week, our featured animals are Louise and Toby. They were found running together out in the middle of nowhere. They were brought to SFC, and we started looking for their people. After a few days, we got a call from their person who had to release them to us due to circumstances beyond her control. They have been with us for several months and would love to find their forever home. Toby and Louise are very sweet, older, medium-sized dogs who would make a great addition to a fairly calm home. They are spayed/neutered, up to date on their vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, heartworm negative, and currently on heartworm prevention. Toby and Louise's adoption fee is only $200 for the pair for this week only! Get your application in and come meet these wonderful dogs!

Tate, Tatum, Theodore, Tristan, Tyler, Taylor, Teagan, Tessa, and Tinsley are patiently waiting for their new forever homes.

They are 12 week old hound mixes who were transferred here with their mom after being taken from unsuitable living conditions. They have been here with us for 9 weeks and are ready to meet their new forever family.

These pups are on special through the end of January. Their adoption fee is only $150 and includes their spay/neuter, vaccines, deworming, and microchip.
