A Double Celebration: Anniversary Cheers and Christmas Joy!
This Thanksgiving season, we’re overflowing with gratitude—and we’ve got an incredible story to share that’s sure to warm your heart.
Let me take you back to a cold, rainy November day in 2022. A dog, battered and broken, lay helpless in a ditch. Harrison had been hit by a car and left for dead, his back legs paralyzed, his spirit clinging to hope. But fate had other plans. A kind-hearted stranger spotted him, scooped him up, and rushed him to a local vet.
When no owner came forward, the call went out to St. Francis, and that’s when Harrison’s story took a beautiful turn. What happened next was nothing short of a team effort:
*A Good Samaritan didn’t turn a blind eye and saved Harrison from the brink.
*Harrisburg Veterinary Clinic stayed after hours to provide urgent care.
*A dedicated rescue networker reached out for help.
*A volunteer transporter made sure Harrison got safely to us.
*Our veterinary team treated his injuries with expertise and compassion.
*Our kennel staff & volunteers gave him daily doses of love and care.
*Rehab volunteers worked tirelessly to help Harrison regain strength and mobility.

Some might call two years in rescue bittersweet, but not us. For Harrison, it’s been two years of second chances, healing, and joy—two years he might never have had without the love and support of people like you.
But wait, the story gets even better.
Just days later, Jules called with the kind of news that brings tears of joy. She said, “Luke and I have talked it over, and we’d like to offer Harrison a home—a place where he
