CCFR would like to remind & ask all Calloway County residents that plan to burn outdoors to please call Calloway County, KY 911 Communications Center non-emergency line before burning. The number to call is (270) 753-3151 & all you have to provide to the dispatchers is your name, address & contact information for them to reach you if your fire is called into 911 by the public. Over the last couple nights, our members have been paged out to two separate dozer piles of trees that were being burned but were never called in to dispatch. This is not a requirement, by law, but it really helps our local first responders by not having to respond to calls of service where there is no emergency. This simple 60 second phone call will also help save our county tax dollars (fuel, wear & tear on equipment) as well as avoid unnecessary emergency responses.

As of Dec. 15th we are no longer in fire season for Kentucky until Feb. 15, 2024 which means no additional burn bans/restrictions at this time. We do ask that you still take extra precautions when burning outdoors for safety.
