What a perfect way to celebrate Veterans Day!

THANK YOU to all who have served our country on 2 legs or 4!!! 🇺🇸🐾🇺🇸

Myrtle Beach’s 1st annual Patriotic Pups 5K had a great turnout, despite the cold and rain!

This race was to raise awareness for working dogs and service dogs in our community and to benefit the Myrtle Beach Police Foundation - K-9 unit.

Also present was Keith Holland with JTFK9s who provides K9 therapy and specially trained service dogs for Active-Duty Military, Combat Veterans, and Law Enforcement with disabilities.

Thanks to my friend and colleague, Dr. Tom Walsh at PrimePet Rehab, for putting this on!!!

Unfortunately, Dr. Hughes has sustained a severe knee injury that will require her to be the patient for a while. Many appointments may need to be rescheduled through mid-late September, and new appointments will be limited.

April is Heartworm Awareness Month!

According to data from the American Heartworm Society, in 2019, there were 100 (or more!) cases of heartworm disease reported PER CLINIC in areas of coastal South Carolina! 😳

I know you don’t like our mom living in your attic or shed. We understand. We only ask that you don’t have her taken away. We need her. There is a way you can ask her to move gently, without any harm coming to her or us.

She chose your place because it is warm, dark and quiet. If you change two of those factors, it should nudge her to leave. Play music and turn on lights in the area where she is staying. It won’t harm her or us, but the message will be clear.

Do this for three days. That will give her time to find a new den. When she has found one, she will move us to our new home.

It won’t cost you any money and it won’t cost us our lives. Everyone wins.
