Hi everyone! My name is Katie, owner and trainer. We use only force-free training methods. I wanted to take a moment to share part of how the force-free training method is a superior method for the betterment and development of our beloved pack members.

Learning occurs when behaviors are encouraged or discouraged through positive/negative reinforcement and/or punishment. Positive and negative are used in terms of ADDING or TAKING AWAY a stimulus. Reinforcements are to increase the probability of a desired behavior and punishment is to decrease the likelihood of a behavior.

Positive reinforcement is the technique of giving praise or treats, whereas positive punishment is adding items such as spray bottles, shaking a can of coins, or a shock collar. Negative reinforcement is removing a negative stimulus, such as forcing your dog to sit with your hand and removing the pressure when your dog sits. Negative punishment involves removal of treats, time-outs, and removing attention.

Our force-free philosophy at Ludo’s Pawsome Pack: Learning Center & Boarding means that we only use positive reinforcement and negative punishment strategies. We do not add items/actions that cause harm, discomfort, or fear such as physical force, shock collars, prong collars, and spray bottles.

Our goal is to give your pack member a fun and enjoyable experience to get longer lasting results. Our method helps increase the bond and relationships within the pack.

Maxi has been learning so much over the past couple of weeks. We recently switched from training services to walking 2x/week. This was a great switch for him as he has a lot of energy and also needs some exposure to outside noises while we enjoy our walk in the neighborhood. Great job Maxi!

Meet Halle. She went from learning how to sit on cue and recently learning how to walk appropriately on a leash and lower her anxiety when people walk by. She's been doing great!

Welcome Sir Didymus to our pack. Ludo will have to retire as my service dog in a couple of years and Sir Didymus will be taking over. He was adopted from All 4 Paws Animal Rescue. He's only 4 months old, but already knows how to sit and his recall is spot on. He also walks well on a leash. Everyone say hi!

Update: Found

Lost 9 year old Lhasa apso and shihzu mix. Her name is Dusty and is very friendly with people, but can be skitish around other dogs. She wondered off around 4pm. Last seen on Surfwind Dr. West in Murrells Inlet, SC. She was noticed missing around 5:20pm.
