Rovers Return Dog Rescue We are a dog rescue who traps stray/abandoned dogs who are difficult to catch. We also feed strays in place whilst networking them until a safe place is found.

We preach spay/neuter to everyone who crosses our path and assist in this whenever we can.

DOG THROWN OUT OF CAR AT THE SIDE OF A BUSY STREET AND THEN HIT BY ANOTHER CAR!

I was asked to help trap a young pup who has been seen lying by a fence near the side of a very busy road in the Good Hope area of Perris. This morning I went over and found a young male age 4/5 months. He was in the yard of one of the neighbours there, he was very skittish and wouldn’t allow us near. He had been reportedly thrown out of a car and also hit by another car. It is uncertain if this was all at the same time or at different times but either way this poor puppy needed help. After we manage to trap him we took him to a kind lady, Julie, who offered to foster him short term. On my way home I couldn’t stop thinking about this poor puppy and went back to get him to take him to the vet. The vet said that his leg had been broken in not one but TWO places and he was definitely in a lot of pain.
We were offered two treatment plans, the first being amputation. This would be the more affordable option but is it the best option?
The second option would be surgery. Please see treatment plans below.

We caught this young boy who was hanging out in a Truck park in Colton, according to the workers there he has been there for months. They would feed him scraps every day but he would not get close enough for anyone to catch him. Of course we had to go and help him. Once we saw where he was hanging out we set our trap and waited. It wasn’t long before he came out to see what we had to offer. A huge shout out to American Grooming Academy for taking him in at short notice and making him feel so much better. Judith was a stray little girl who was in danger and already had been seen getting cornered by 2 coyotes. Thankfully they were scared off and thanks to neighbours. They looked out for her and called Rovers Return to catch her.
