I’m getting a lot of questions about how my process works for getting a puppy. So I figured I would just make a post here explaining it all to clear things up. From the time the puppies are born to the time the puppies are six weeks old, anyone contacting me that is seriously interested in a puppy will be placed on a waitlist. I am not requiring a deposit to be put on the waitlist. It’s sole purpose is to determine the order picks take place. When the puppies turn six weeks old, I start allowing picks. The first person on my waitlist gets first pick, the second person gets second pick, and so on. If it gets to your spot in the waitlist and all the puppies are spoken for or the puppies you want are no longer available, you have two choices. Move the the waitlist for the next litter, or I can remove you from the list altogether. I will give everyone on my waitlist a rundown of each puppy, and my top recommendation/s for each person/family prior to when picks start. At the time picks take place, I will require a deposit. Picks can go very fast, or they may take a while. It depends on how long each person takes to make a decision. After picks take place, if everyone on the waitlist either has a puppy or is waiting, and I still have any puppies left, then a deposit is required when one of the puppies still available are chosen. The point of waiting for picks until six weeks old is so I have a good idea of each puppies individual personality and the new owners/families are able to pick the dog that would best fit in with their family. The waitlist gives everyone time to plan ahead and think about what they want and need from a dog before having to choose one, while ensuring the people who contacted me first get to pick their puppy first. I operate on a first come first serve basis with very few exceptions. I am happy to answer any questions anyone may have about this process. I know it’s not what a lot of people expect when looking for a puppy, but it’s how I do things.
