Thankful Post 3

Leah has been reunited with her family!!!
Leah was in a house fire one week ago today. The house was a total loss. Miraculously Leah survived and was rescued by first responders. She was treated for second degree burns and smoke inhalation at our clinic and the Animal Emergency Center in Bettendorf.
Her burns are healing nicely and we are hopeful for a full recovery!
To all that donated to her medical care, sent well wishes, and will continue to support her during her recovery we thank you!!!

Thankful Post 2!!!

Thank you to all that purchased treats from Lila's Holiday Pet Treat Sale!!! The sale raised nearly $300 which went to the Muscatine Humane Society and It Takes A Village Pet Rescue. We hope your dogs and cats enjoyed their treats!

As 2022 wraps up there are so many things we are thankful for! So many that it deserves 3 separate posts!!!

Thank you to each and every one of you that donated items to our pet angel tree. We collected all of the items pictured below and $300 that were distributed to the Muscatine Humane Society and It Takes A Village Pet Rescue. These two organizations do amazing things for our community. We thank them for their dedication to saving and improving the quality of life of our furry friends!

!!!!PUPDATE!!!!

Just spoke with the Animal Emergency Center in Bettendorf...Leah is doing great. No signs of smoke inhalation in her lungs. She is currently being treated for the significant burns to her face. She is eating well and is comfortable. She will be discharged tomorrow and brought to our clinic for continued care.
Words can't express the gratitude we feel to each and every one of you that donated and sent well wishes❤️

Yesterday one of our local community members lost everything in a house fire. Once the fire was extinguished the man's dog was found in the basement. Wet, burned and covered in ash she was brought to our clinic by the Muscatine Police Dept. We knew she would need further care over the weekend and leave it up to Meagan Koehler... she stepped right up to lead the charge in fundraising efforts so we could get this sweet soul to the Animal Emergency Center.

This is Leah. Strong, sweet, and brave. She is now in the amazing hands of the emergency center. Thank you to the Muscatine Fire Dept and Police Dept for rescuing her. Thank you to Meagan for mobilizing her "village". Thank you to all that have donated, wished her well and are keeping her in your thoughts 🐾

1. Due to the weather we will be closing at noon today. We will reopen tomorrow the 24th at 8. We will be here from 8 to noon.

2. If you order Lila's pet treats you can pick them up at the clinic from 8 to noon on Saturday the 24th.

3. For all of you that donated to our fundraiser for the Muscatine Humane Society and It Takes A Village thank you thank you thank you!!! We collected an amazing amount of things that will be split between the two organizations.

4. The winner of the dog basket is Victoria Borchert. The winner of the cat basket is Diana Cale.
