Julian came in today for his first kitten visit. Julian was a stray and recently found by his current owners. A fun fact about him is that he is polydactyl!
Polydactyl cats are cats with extra toes on one or more of their paws, caused by a genetic mutation called polydactyly. The word "polydactyl" comes from Greek and means "many toes or fingers". Cats normally have 18 toes, but polydactyl cats can have any number of extra toes, from six on every paw to 28 total. The extra toes can appear on the front or back paws, and sometimes make it look like the cat is wearing mittens. 🧤 🐾

We had the privilege of helping Tito get ready for his new forever home! He was the sweetest boy! If you think Tito could be a part of your family, talk with the Muscatine Humane Society today about adoption! 🐾

Tito had a big day over at Riverside Animal Hospital!

Dr. Kelli gave his teeth a much needed cleaning and she also removed teeth that were causing discomfort.

Haley was part of his care team and gave us all the deets to make is recovery as smooth as possible.

The Boykin Spaniels had their first vaccines and lots of cuddles today. 🥰 In a couple of weeks they will meet their forever homes and we’re excited to continue to care for one of them and watch her grow with her loving family. 🐾
