I haven't posted for a looooong time, so it's time I let everyone know what's going on! Yes, I'm still braiding, but not to the extent that I was. I will not be a vendor at the Mississippi Valley Cluster next month as there have been a lot of changes in our lives over the past year and adding more work (aka stress) to my life at this time is just not in the best interest of my physical and mental health. I love making custom leads for all the wonderful people I've met, but braiding every spare minute for 4 months solid is just too much. I'm still working full time and have two dogs I'm currently training in obedience, agility and scent work, as well as showing in conformation. Home life has changed as my husband retired last year due to health issues and we're still adjusting. I'll continue to work my "real" job (as a paramedic on a 911 ambulance service) for the next two years - at least that's the plan. In the meantime, I am taking orders for custom leads but don't expect a quick turn around in getting them.

These are some of the leads I've done in the last year. If you are interested in something custom, don't hesitate to contact me here or, better yet, at [email protected] - I check my email more regularly than messenger. I can then let you know the approximate length of time it will take to get your lead finished.

I will be showing my youngster at the Mississippi Valley Cluster, so stop and say "HI" if you're at the Vizsla ring!

Huge thanks to everyone who came to visit us at the BKC/SCKC (Mississippi Valley Cluster) this past weekend! We appreciate your business, your kind comments, and all who took time out just to stop by and chat! All of the leather has been cut and orders are organized, lace colors and beads that were not on hand have been ordered! I'll be finishing up two previous orders over the next two days (Judy, Kym) and will then be prepping leather and braiding will commence!

And, yes, I am keeping the black lead with the gorgeous stone/sterling beads from Cloudcroft Trading Post, lol!

We hope to see you next year, the show will be on Mother's Day weekend and the Beaux Arts Fair will also be on site. Yippee!

Come see me this weekend at the Mississippi Fairgrounds! We've been having a lot of fun with dogs and people at the Burlington Kennel Club shows the last two days, and we'll continue to play on Saturday and Sunday. The Slobbery Dog is set up in the conformation building and Pax is doing meet and greets all weekend! I have a few finished leads to sell and am taking custom orders. D**k will also be offering free kisses, if you don't mind a little slobber.

Braiding on the dozens of orders from the SCKC show booth is progressing! I'm between 1/3-1/2 way through the list. I appreciate your patience as I take my time to assure each lead/collar is of the highest quality. There are a few of you I will be contacting to get a little more information or photos from, particularly those that had small dog leads with attached collars/swivels/kindness. I want to be sure you're getting exactly what you want.

Wow! What a fantastic weekend we had at the Burlington/Scott County Kennel Clubs shows! It was wonderful to be out again and see so many friends!

I received a TON of orders for custom leads and have ordered the small amount of lace and beads necessary to fill them. Lace is being cut and the plan is to have all the prep work done for braiding by the end of the week. Then the fun commences! So many beautiful color combinations were chosen, and that makes braiding such a pleasure!

At this point we are not planning on attending any other shows. Unfortunately, our work schedules limit our availability and we have to have time to play with our dogs, too. I can be contacted through messenger here on Facebook, or you can email me at [email protected].
