WE ARE HIRING! Looking for a passionate and skilled Dog Groomer! Certification from a grooming program OR equivalent experience. We are an established business committed to providing high-quality grooming and care for a positive grooming experience for all dogs. Must have good customer service and communication skills, patience, compassion and love for animals. Must be able to handle dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and behaviors. Must be familiar with breed specific hairstyles. Cat grooming skills a plus but not required. This is a W2 position at 50% commission plus tips.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
*Bathing, brushing, drying, trimming, and styling a dog's hair. Familiar with breed specific styles.
*Nail trimming, ear cleaning, and teeth brushing. A**l glands if trained and comfortable doing.
*Inspect pets for any skin conditions, ticks, fleas, or other health concerns and alert pet owner.
*Recordkeeping a must. Make sure we have current vaccination records on file and/or obtain them so to be in compliance with State of Iowa law.
*Must have own grooming tools.
