Pound Buddies Animal Shelter & Adoption Center is primarily a volunteer organization that relies on donations and adoption fees for its funding. Registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all donations to Pound Buddies are tax-deductible.

Meet our adorable Aussie/Lab mix puppies — a fun-loving crew named after Dora the Explorer, because adventure is clearly in their DNA! These four may look completely different, but just like their appearances, their personalities are beautifully unique too.

🐾 Dora (female) – True to her name, she’s the brave explorer of the group! Always the first to check out something new and lead her siblings on their next adventure.
🎒 Backpack (female) – Sweet, gentle, and full of quiet curiosity. She watches the world with soft eyes and a tender heart.
🧭 Diego (male) – Our shy guy. He’s more timid, but once he trusts you, his loyalty and sweetness shine through.
👢 Boots (male) – The ultimate snuggle bug! If there’s a lap nearby, Boots will find it.

💖 Martha Mae has blossomed so much since arriving with her babies. She has the sweetest personality and a gentle soul that just wants love and stability after raising her little explorers. She deserves her own happily-ever-after just as much as her pups do. Shes approximately 2 years old and is a perfect size at just 35 pounds.

Dennis the Menace? Maybe… but mostly Dennis the DREAM pup!

Meet Dennis — a 6-month-old bundle of personality who keeps life exciting in all the best ways. We don’t know his breed but it’s speculative that he may be the smartest breed- a border collie mix! He’s smart as a whip, bonds deeply with his people, and is already doing amazing with potty training (yes, at just six months!).

Dennis is the kind of pup who fits right in with everyone — he does great with kids, loves other dogs, and absolutely thrives in a home environment. He’s currently living the foster life. According to his foster mom, he knows, sit, leave it, wait, and working on lay down and stay. He is “the absolute best boy.” And we fully agree.

Meet Skye — a truly special girl who is just waiting for the right environment to shine. ✨

Right now, Skye is doing her best in a place that can be overwhelming for even the most confident dogs. Shelters are loud, busy, and unpredictable — and for sensitive pups like Skye, that can create what we call FAS: Fear, Anxiety, and Stress.

FAS doesn’t mean a dog is difficult.
It means they’re human… in dog form.

Meet Johnny Cash — our great big gentle soul with an even bigger heart. 🖤

This senior boy is the definition of a sweet, snuggly couch potato. At over 100 pounds, he’s basically a living, breathing weighted blanket who just wants a soft place to land and someone to love him.

Johnny Cash is potty trained, gets along with other pups (cats need not apply), up to date on his immunizations, and ready to trade shelter life for lazy afternoons on the couch. We may not know his exact breed, but we do know one thing for sure — he is 100% good boy through and through.

He’s not asking for much… just a quiet home, a comfy couch, and a human who will let him spend his golden years feeling safe, cherished, and adored. Senior dogs have a way of loving deeper, snuggling harder, and reminding us what unconditional love really looks like.

Meet Charlotte 💕

Charlotte is an adult sweetheart who is ready to trade shelter life for a couch, a family, and plenty of belly rubs. She is spayed, up to date on immunizations, and completely potty trained—the total package!

Charlotte enjoys the company of other dogs, but she prefers her friends on the lower-energy side. She’s much more about calm companionship than nonstop chaos. Goldie is the kind of dog who makes an entrance — she comes hot out of the gate because she’s that excited to see you. But give her about 10 minutes…
You. Will. Be. Obsessed.

She’s a dream on adventures: Goldie loves car rides, walks beautifully in a harness, and truly lives for those slow, sniffy walks where she can take in all the good smells. And let’s be clear — b***y pats are not optional, they are a requirement.

Goldie would be AMAZING as an only dog, but she’s also happy to have dog friends who enjoy a little… enthusiasm. Her play style is best described as WWE energy — so if your dog likes to rumble, Goldie is ready. 💪

In his kennel, Opie is an absolute gentleman — very clean and content to spend his time snoozing peacefully. He recently went out running errands with a staff member and did amazing in the car, riding like a pro. Even better? He met several kids along the way and loved every second of the attention, leaning into those pets like the sweetheart he is.

💛🐾 Bonded Besties Looking for Their Forever Home 🐾💛

Meet Huck & Finley, an adorable bonded pair of mixed breed cuties (your guess is as good as ours) who are searching for a home where they can stay together — because life is simply better side by side.

Huck (male) is already neutered, microchiped, and up to date on his immunizations! Finley (female) is also up to date on her immunizations! They are estimated to be just over one year. Both walk beautifully on a leash and are a joy to spend time with.

But the very best part about Huck and Finley? Their love for each other.
These two are never more than a foot apart. Whether it’s strolling together or curling up for a nap, they can almost always be found snuggled close, reminding everyone just how special their bond truly is.

3-year-old Husky Mix | Stunning • Smart • Sweet

If you’re looking for a dog who turns heads and steals hearts, Willow is your girl. This gorgeous husky mix is about 3 years old and truly the total package.

Willow walks like an absolute dream on the leash and keeps her kennel spotless — a lady with great manners! She enjoys the company of other dogs and absolutely adores people. She can be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, her loving personality shines through.

One thing Willow is very clear about: she LOVES being outside 🌿☀️
She will happily beg staff to stay out just a little longer, soaking up every moment. Whether it’s a walk, yard time, or adventures with her future family, Willow is ready to enjoy the great outdoors by your side.
