Pound Buddies Pound Buddies is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to finding good homes for homeless and abandoned dogs and cats.

Pound Buddies Animal Shelter & Adoption Center is primarily a volunteer organization that relies on donations and adoption fees for its funding. Registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all donations to Pound Buddies are tax-deductible.

Some of us at the shelter are really over these heat waves and dreaming of cooler days ahead. By “some of us,” we mean…the huskies and shepherds. 🐾❄️🍂

These smart, loyal, and beautiful dogs are more than ready for forever families to call their own. The huskies are built for snow days, while the shepherds can’t wait for crisp autumn walks. 💔 Sometimes life changes in ways we can’t control, and sadly, that’s how Max, Chime, and Beutus found themselves at our shelter. These sweet boys were recently surrendered by their owners—not because they weren’t loved, but because their families could no longer care for them. 💔

🐾 Max – This little guy is the definition of a Velcro dog. Small in size but huge in love, Max is a 4 year old male that wants nothing more than to be in your lap or by your side (would probably lay on your lap all day if you let him). He was surrendered due to his owner’s homelessness, and he’s ready for a new chapter filled with comfort, safety, and endless snuggles.

🐾 Brutus- This medium sized sweetie wants love and affection so much. When out in the yard, he will just lean up against staff and want all the pets. He is a nervous 1.5 year old that was also surrendered due to homelessness. He is just the sweeteat guy and deserves all the love.

🐾 Chime – Slightly bigger but still the perfect cuddle companion, Chime is a small/medium-sized 1 year old neutered sweetheart. His owners could no longer care for him, and now he’s hoping someone will give him the stable, loving home he deserves.

📣 Puppy Alert! Meet Pip, Bella, and Dior 🐾

At approximately 4 months old, these three cuties are ready to wiggle their way into forever homes!

✨ Bella– Our sweet girl with the perfectly huge ears. They might be big now, but they’ll only make her extra adorable as she grows (we all might be a little obsessed with those ears, rightfully so 🤣)
✨ Pip– A sweet little guy with a gentle spirit, ready to soak up all the love and attention he can get.😍
✨ Dior – Classy name, playful personality! This little lady is super petite but she makes up for her small size with lots of s***k! ❤️

All three are still babies, which means they’re the perfect age to bond, train, and grow alongside their new families. Whether you’re looking for a cuddle buddy, a walking partner, or just a best friend, Pip, Bella, and Dior are ready to fill that role. 💕

Looking for the perfect balance of playful and gentle? Harper is your girl! This sweet mastiff mix is just under 2 years old and a perfect medium size at 50 lbs — big enough to cuddle, but not too big to fit right in on your couch.

Harper has been thriving in her foster home, where she’s lived happily with both male and female dogs, as well as children (ages 8+). She’s proven herself to be patient, loving, and a total sweetheart with everyone she meets. Plus, she’s a great passenger! Her foster mom says Harper rides wonderfully in the car and is always up for an adventure.

Wow...thank you all for your response and support!
Here are some responses to your questions🥰🥰🥰
1. Food preference: we've been feeding the puppy pro-plan and puppy hills science diet.
Right now they are getting both the second phase of puppy formula and the soft puppy food. (Not combined, lol. Separate bowls)

2. Bedding: flat sheets, fleece and some cushy blankets for sleepy time. 😀

3. Puppy pads would be ok but we have to really watch them becasue they tear them up. (Dont want a safety hazard) 10 puppies is a whole lot of chaos🤣🥰

4. Financial donations: I will speak to our gal who oversees that about getting the cash app or venmo.. thank you for the suggestion!😀

5. What breed are they? Get ready....this is super cool! Mom is a German Shephard / Irish Wolf Hound mix and dad is an American Staffy! Talk about cool mix!

6. Volunteering: we do still have Volunteer opportunities and we LOVE the help. We will be hosting a new volunteer orientation next week for anyone interested. (A separate post with details will be shared soon)
This orientation will be for all volunteer positions including dog walkers)

PUPPY SUPPLIES NEEDED!

Ten (10) x 4 week old puppies are safe at Pound Buddies but we need your help please. 🥰

These little buggers require a LOT of time, cleaning and supplies. Mom is not with them (sorry, no further comments can be made) but they are doing well. We are keeping close eyes on each puppy and they are happy and healthy and hungry! 🙂

We are in need of:
Canned PUPPY food
PUPPY kibble (for down the road)
Bedding (no pillows please)
*for health reasons, we cannot take used pet bedding for the puppies. Thank you for understanding🥰
Gentle puppy shampoo (poo being the emphasis in that word! Lol)

Puppies will be with us for several more weeks until they are available for adoption. We do hold puppies until a minimum of 8 weeks old. 😀

Two beautiful little girls each looking to be the queen of their own castle 🥰

Meet Sophia (Yorkie) this is the little dog who was found on the side of the road in Ravenna last week.
She has been the absolute sweetest thing ever! Sophia is very quiet, she LOVES to be held after a nice walk. She is potty trained and seems to be comfortable around other dogs. We estimate her to be around 5 years old.

Remi, (malti-poo) is a ball of energy and just craves attention! She is only 1 year old and would love not only a human family of her own, but a doggie companion as well!

Remi is young and would do best with a family who has plenty of time to spend with her.
