Pound Buddies Pound Buddies is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to finding good homes for homeless and abandoned dogs and cats.

Pound Buddies Animal Shelter & Adoption Center is primarily a volunteer organization that relies on donations and adoption fees for its funding. Registered as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all donations to Pound Buddies are tax-deductible.

This is churro (aka Dupree) 😍 Churro is under 2 years old. He is dog and cat friendly, and about 80 pounds of pure goof.

Churro is a smart boy. He currently knows sit, lay down, wait, and come. He’s eager to learn and is very treat motivated (arent we all?!?!).

This sweetie is the cuddliest boy who wants to be as close as possible at all times🤣He’s already neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations and heartworm negative.

Churro is currently in a foster home and is reported to be house broke and crate trained. His foster mom also had this to say, “He is a lover of all toys! especially hard bones and squeaky toys, tug-of-war is his favorite game and he loves to talk while he plays! He’s a very goofy boy and will always give you a laugh❤️ He’s a big boy with lots of energy. After a good cuddle on the couch, he’s ready to take on any adventure you throw his way❤️”

All dressed up and looking for somewhere to go.

"WAYLAND" put on his favorite tie to show everyone how handsome he is!

Wayland was very excited for his photo shoot and he wants his potential family to know a few things about him. Wayland loves to play but he is young, (10 weeks old) so he will need an experienced dog owner to spend quality time with him for exercise and training so he can be the best puppy ever!🥰

Wayland has found a few furry friends at the shelter and enjoys his play dates with them so he is definitely open to a brother or sister if you already have a dog in the home 😄 (He hasn't met cats yet)

Wayland is working on his potty training and doing quite well, but remember, he's young so continued potty training is part of the deal🙃

Wayland is also working on leash walking and he is getting better each day, he loves his (multiple) daily walks with staff and volunteers.

Swag & wag....meet "Leo"

Weighing in at 10 pounds and rocking his chain like a true icon. This pint size terrier mix has main character energy and isn’t afraid to strut his stuff like he owns the block (and your heart).

Leo is a young adult dog, is potty trained, walks well on leash.

Leo craves attention and would be a true companion pet. He can be a bit nervous around new people so a quieter house would be ideal.

Leo absolutely loves to take walks and run his little legs at full speed in our play yards. It is pure joy to watch his zoomies😂

Someone got a bath, nails trimmed, and a brushing, "Obi" is ready for adoption!

Have you ever wanted a middle-aged, sassy pants Chihuahua? Well, now is your chance!

Meet "Obi," he's around 5-6 yrs old and although he only weighs 10 pounds soaking wet, he's a BIG dog at heart (and attitude)🤣

Obi has a selective palette for people, if he likes you, you'll have a best friend🥰
If he doesn't like you, well, let's just say you won't be best friends😂

Obi loves to play chase, meaning, just try to catch him! Lol....his devious little mind loves outsmarting us at every turn.

MUSKEGON COUNTY ANIMAL RESCUES WORKING TOGETHER!💗

This week Big Lake Humane Society , The Noah Project , Heaven Can Wait Animal Haven ,Faithful2Felines, and PoundBuddies met (again) to plan the details of the first annual Pedal for Paws Pub Crawl!

Many people may not know how often all of our amazing Muskegon rescues work together.

We share resources, provide assistance to each other, collaborate in community issues....and best of all....we support each other. Each organization is made up of incredible, dedicated, directors, boards, staff , and volunteers!

We are all thrilled to announce a fun new event coming AUGUST 3RD!
Mark your calendars and get your bikes ready for the best ride this summer. 😁

And BEST PART...you will be supporting ALL the animals in ALL the shelters in Muskegon!!!🥰🥰🥰

Even pure bred puppies from The Barking Boutique end up at the shelter!

Shiba Inu, not even 1 yr old yet, neutered male, up-to-date on all vaccines, good with kids, other dogs.

Spent a LOT of $$$ on this dog at the "puppy store."

Please no negative comments. This is just another sad reality of why shelters are full...and it's not just pitbulls! 💔
