The Grooming Room The Grooming Room was established in 1995 and is owned by Joan Gorajec, a certified groomer. It is managed by her daughter, Anna Wezeman.

We do not have electronic scheduling, so please call us at 231-777-4848 Full service pet salon located in good ol' Cloverville on Heights-Ravenna. Reasonably priced and staffed with groomers that are true animal lovers! We even have windows along the entire front of the salon so you can sit and watch your pet be groomed if you like!

Surprise! Anna here (hi!) I am entering my second trimester. I am not grooming big dogs anymore. To not overwhelm or burn out Mikele, we are going to book 2 large dogs a day in the future. We opened October today, and within an hour we filled 2 weeks for large dogs.

I am planning (God willing) to continue working full time until January 1st, grooming small dogs and office work etc. Right now, We are downsizing in order to stay open. Mikele is a great groomer and can handle all the same dogs that I can- but, without us working “together”, this means we won’t be able to book the extra big jobs or harder to handle dogs. I am sorry for everyone this will effect. I am fully confident that there are great groomers in our area who can take on the pups we cannot fit in.

The dogs deserve a calm groomer, which means us not overloading Mikele’s schedule with huge jobs. Mikele deserves a job that fuels her passion and doesn’t burn her out, which means us giving her a fair work load.

Please if you call and cannot get in with us, do not wait until your dog is over due to start looking for another groomer. Many groomers are booked out a ways- so please keep that in mind when calling around.

Be kind, groomers have a hard job that can be both fulfilling and exhausting.

The weather for Saturday isn’t looking promising for our sale, so we are starting a day early to hopefully get some shoppers! Our yard sale will start tomorrow during business hours. We have a wide range of things, some used, some brand new, all CHEAP. We are not going to turn down a fair offer for anything. We have clothes for various ages and sizes (various adult & mostly size 8-10 boys), toys, an exercise bike, jewelry, piñatas, candles, a “cube” organizer, blankets, shoes, golf clubs, a high chair, the list could go on for days…

This past week we were honored to give farewell hugs and kisses to Sheldon,one of our regular grooms who was only 8. . His parents were given the horrific diagnosis of osteosarcoma & were given only weeks… so, they immediately started showering him with extra love, company, treats, and his favorite things. They watched for signs and let him pass peacefully in their home.

We want to thank the Labans for letting us see him before he crossed the bridge. It meant a lot to all of us especially since it was so unexpected. It’s a reminder that you never know when you’re seeing someone for the last time. So, love your family and friends well all of the time & savor each day.

Some customers have come in asking if we’re closing in September. We were all so confused by this. I Facebook searched “the grooming room closing” and saw another groomer with the same salon name announcing their closure in September. They are not us and they are located in New Zealand. Definitely not us. Please click on business pages to confirm it’s the business you’re searching for on here or you can get misleading information.
