This Halloween someone played a not nice trick and left Gremlin and Goblin tied in a bag in a local driveway.
They are malnourished, dehydrated and covered in fleas.
Please consider a donation as a Halloween gift to help with their treatment.

We recently featured a video of STILL adoptable and looking for a foster Nali Girl doing some of her tricks for treats.
This video shows also adoptable Millie, doing her tricks of sit, shake, speak, lay down and sit pretty.
Here's the thing, we shelter staff DID NOT teach them these things after they came into our care.
It's a common thought that people want a puppy, because they will be easier to train than an adult. Adult dogs come into our care after having been someone's pet, and have some basic commands they already follow.
We spend time trying to to figure out what they already know, and sometimes, it's quite a bit. Spin dances, roll over, actual fetch, wait, stay, find it, get dressed and one dog even "boxed" by standing up on a couch and punching his paws at our hands.
A dog of any age can learn new tricks with time and patience, but so many looking for homes already have a good foundation all ready for you to build on.
Check out our adoptable dogs today, fill out an application and come find out how smart and unique they are!

Senior Nali Girl isn't doing well in the shelter.
We would like her to have a chance to get out, so people can see how smart and wonderful she is.

🚨 Helena is Ready for Adoption! 🏡💖
After nearly FOUR MONTHS of dedicated care and love from our clinic staff, Helena is officially ready to find her forever home! This sweet girl came to us as her owner was unable to provide the medical care she needed. Helena had a broken tail, a severe ear infection, and unfortunately, blindness caused by prolonged use of Tylenol.
** DO NOT GET YOUR MEDICAL ADVICE FROM GOOGLE! **
Our Clinic Crew has been with her every step of the way - helping her through a tail amputation and the removal of one eye. Though she is mostly blind and occasionally walks in circles due to neurological issues, Helena is happiest in a calm space where she can nap and enjoy your affection.
She’s been a part of the family here, even spending time with our staff as a foster. But now she’s ready for the next step: a quiet, loving home of her own. Helen is a clean, happy kitty who just needs someone special to give her the life she deserves.
Could that be you? 🐾
If you're interested in meeting Helena and giving her a forever home, visit her during our open hours at the clinic. You can apply to adopt her here: https://www.wagtopia.com/search/pet?id=2011569&name=Helena+-+Visit+at+Big+Lake+Clinic
