****THESE ANIMALS ARE NOT UP FOR ADOPTION ****

These animals have been picked up within Muskogee city limits, either by Animal Control or concerned citizens. The animals are placed on hold for three business days beginning the day after they were picked up. This is to give owners a chance to reclaim their missing animals. On the morning of the 4th business day, they will be place for adoption, IF deemed adoptable by shelter staff. If an animal is to be reclaimed the owner must provide proof of rabies vaccination given by a licensed veterinarian. Reclaim fees are as follows: day of pick up $10.00, each day after $5.00. If the pet is not current on Rabies vaccine, there is a $25 refundable Deposit that has to be paid to retrieve the pet. We typically allow 24 hours to provide proof to get the deposit back. These animals have served their stray hold, or have been owner surrendered to the animal shelter. After a brief evaluation period, they have been deemed adoptable by shelter staff. Adoption fees are as follows: Dogs $100. Cats $80. Animals that come into the shelter already altered are only $30. The adoption fee pays for spay/neuter Rabies and Dhlp booster. MUSKOGEE ANIMAL SHELTER IS A MANDATORY SPAY/NEUTER SHELTER.
