With a heart full of joy and a dash of sadness, I faced a bittersweet moment when I decided to let Birdie find her forever home. Surrendered to me after an injury ended her service dog career, I nursed her back to health and discovered she had a new purpose - to be a psychiatric service dog. When Michael, a veteran in need of a service dog, reached out to me, I knew it was meant to be. Though it was hard to say goodbye, I knew Birdie would thrive in her new role and bring joy to Michael. She will be deeply missed, but I take comfort in knowing she's living her best life, spoiled and loved, doing what she was meant to do.

Bertie was cleared by the vet too go back into service work for psychiatric purposes

I’ll come hang out with your babies, feed them, play with them, and etc. I am not able to do overnight stays as I have my own fur babies that I need to get back to, however I can assure you that your furry loved ones will be in good hands! She made it through surgery just fine, for anybody That was wondering!! She is now able to go to daycare with Marvel in about two weeks after and she’s all healed up. Right now she’s just pouting and knocking crap over with her cone.
She is also still a little drugged up 🤣

Service dogs are protected under federal law when you bring your untrained pet into a store or label it as an emotional support animal or service dog that is a federal crime which result in a misdemeanor, and potentially a year in jail with a fine if you see a sign that says service dogs only no pets allowed on the front door like the following Walmart Publix, target etc. and your local depending on the pet policy. A lot of people do not realize that just by bringing your pet into a store could kill someone because because of your pet being there, please be respectful to your fellow people that are having a harder time with you with living their life in the one thing that makes it easier. They have to worry about whenever your pet is in a place it shouldn’t. It has no right being in the establishment.

Got an update from Birdies mom she’s doing absolutely amazing with no complaints. We have our first training FaceTime video on Sunday and I’m just super excited that she’s being the good girl. I am so glad birdie is with her mom and that her training is paying off. If you guys are interested in a service animal for your disability. come to my page and message me. I’m happy to help and educate.

Her mom also reported that she did absolutely amazing in the 11 hour car ride home and can entertain herself with just a little orange ball which I knew this. Ha ha ha ha
