I sat in class as we watched the horror. Later, I was glued to the TV watching them collapse live. 2977 people lost their lives in this tragedy.

We wouldnt be a pet themed company if we didnt also honor our furry companions whos heroism saved lives as well.

Bretagne – Golden Retriever, worked for 10 days at Ground Zero, the last surviving 9/11 search dog.

Trakr – German Shepherd, discovered the last survivor, Genelle Guzman-McMillan.

Jake – Labrador Retriever, searched for survivors for 17 days.

Apollo – German Shepherd, first search and rescue dog to arrive at the World Trade Center.

Sirius – Explosive detection dog, the only known police dog to die during the attacks.

Thunder – Golden Retriever, assisted in the search efforts.

Roselle – Guide dog who led her blind owner to safety from the 78th floor of the North Tower.

Salty – Another guide dog, helped guide his owner out of the World Trade Center.

Porkchop – Australian Shepherd, searched through the rubble for human remains.

Cowboy – FEMA search dog, part of the recovery effort.

Our condolences to all of the families and friends of loved ones lost in 9/11, whether 2 legged or 4 pawed. We will never forget.
